The Freelancer (2023)
A ticket to Syria
The series boasts of an impressive cast featuring Mohit Raina, Kashmira Pardeshi, Sushant Singh, John Kokken, Navneet Malik, Gauri Balaji and Anupam Kher. The series has been adapted from the book A TICKET TO SYRIA. The titular protagonist is Avinash Kamath played by Mohit Raina who is seen as a former police officer who now works as a mercenary. He sets out on a mission to save a young bride called Aliya who gets embroiled in Syria where ISIS terrorism is on the rise.
As per the trends go, the series catches the essence of patriotism and suspense. As someone who has read the book, I am not disappointed with the series.
Bhonsle (2018)
A migrant Tale
Bhonsle is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language drama film written and directed by Devashish Makhija. The film stars Manoj Bajpayee, who is also the co-producer, in the title role of a retired Mumbai cop who befriends a North Indian girl and her brother, when the local politicians are trying to get rid of the migrants. According to the trailer, it seems to be an engaging plotline. The description reads as, ' In tumultuous Mumbai, at a time when scheming Maharashtrian politicians use violence to get rid of the state of North-Indian migrants, a terminally-ill lone wolf Maharashtrian cop Bhonsale retired against his will, finds himself forging an unlikely companionship with a 23 year old north indian girl and her little brother, the raging conflict destroying the world around them reaches his doorstep, giving him one last battle worth fighting for, but it might just be too late.' Other than this, Bhonsale stars Manoj Bajpayee, Abhishek Banerjee, Santosh Juvekar, Ipshita Chakraborty, Virat Vaibhav and Neetu Pandey in prominent roles. They all look extremely convincing in the movie.
Castle: Time Will Tell (2013)
Last minute suspense
It all started with a cruel murder, a guy claiming that he is from future, criminal who didn't say a word but looks like he knew the other guy, our duo and the team finding the truth all of which made a nice and funny content. Dialogues, plot, content were exceptional. In the end though it looks he was from the future.
