Creed III (2023)
Modern Rocky V
This movie is an average movie, but has no business as a movie associated with Rocky. There is one training session for each fight, which consist of one punching bag and sparring session before every fight in the movie. The fight acting is so weak, and somehow they think that Blair Witching the cameras will make it more convincing. Why do these reviews need to be the length of an essay?!!! Nobody wants to read a user review that is longer than a professional critics review, but here we are, writing 500 more characters than anyone will even read. This movie's production value is weak if you've watched Sylvester Stallone's good Rocky movies. Not inspirational at all.
Air (2023)
Should be rated PG
Should be rated PG, except kids wouldn't want to watch this drawn out unexciting movie. Have you ever got suckered in to sitting through a time share pitch? That's exactly (EXACTLY!) what watching this movie is like. I'm not even sure why or how they pulled together an all-star cast for this, except for the fact it was to be about Michael Jordan, who literally had no part of the movie. I can't for the life of me see how this was rated R. I thought it would be a movie for the whole family, until I saw the rating. I figured they must have thrown some drugs and sex scenes in for dramatics, but it was literally one of the mildest movies I've watched in the last 20 years. Overall, not remotely worth the time, and has nothing really to do with Michael Jordan.
Untrapped: The Story of Lil Baby (2022)
Life is scarier than death
It is a very interesting story, and I like that his lyrics tell a real story. Honestly, I have always turned the station when I hear his music, but the only reason is that they Autotune his voice. Very in depth story that you really need to hear to understand where he's coming from. One thing that really stood out to me was his wisdom and blunted emotions toward death around him, but the raw fear he expresses toward life and how one choice, past or future, could profoundly change everything. The story not only shows his transformation, but really makes it so clear that he had some truly caring people around him that carried him until he could stand on his own, so to speak. Very good. The Biden clip, saying to lock them all up, was a surprise to see, otherwise there is no "agenda". Might be a little harder for them to tell black people how to vote after throwing that in.
Cut Throat City (2020)
Most unclear ending ever
I get the message/point of the movie, and it's not exclusive to New Orleans. The hierarchy in the film, how some of these people are connected, and the "original sin" that is repeatedly referred to, is still a mystery to me, unless I missed something. The ending literally has me baffled. Was that what could've been, a before event, or did he survive? Rza, sober up long enough to edit man! It made sense to the person piecing it together, because they knew the whole storyline, but nobody else knows what just happened.
Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer (2021)
Granting a serial killer's final wish.
You are teased throughout the entire series that this guy speaks about what he did on tape, then it ends with him saying he doesn't want his recordings heard, and they grant his wish. If you're going to make a miniseries this long, you don't hint at these recordings then exclude them! This had such potential, and they seemingly rushed an ending like they were finishing a report last second to meet a deadline.
The Hunt for the Zodiac Killer (2017)
Starts strong, turns very sketchy
The show seems very promising at first, but as it continues on it seems more and more like things are being fabricated to add cinematic value. The cadaver part is very sketchy and seems completely set up (faked). Same with the bomb thing. Both seem set up and fake. The broken code is complete BS if you actually look at it and why wouldn't the "super computer" be used more than two or three times? Like I said, starts off strong and then it turns into a production. Nothing new really.
Chaos Theory (2007)
The preview shows all the good scenes, the end.
I thought from the preview this might get crazy funny! Instead it turns out to be a movie about a guy getting wrongfully run through the ringer (harsher words get reviews thrown out) by his wife, only to let her take him back and act like she did nothing wrong. Annoying, get you pumped up he's getting revenge, then just lets everything go like nothing. Chick flick, anticlimactic, not exciting, rarely funny.
