Save your money or wait a couple weeks till it's streaming
21 May 2024
This film should've been direct to lifetime or a streaming service. The main characters had zero acting ability or chemistry. Both of them were insufferable, typical "you ain't from round here" movie. It was supposed to be set in Oregon, yet the "town folk" had southern hillbilly accents. About 10 minutes in my husband fell asleep and said to wake him when the action started. It never happened, unless you want to see the woman take a shower while her boyfriend goes into town to get his inhaler out of the car. Who in their right mind would take a shower after a creepy person was in a mask. There was hardly any blood and gore. I can't believe there's going to be more. Save your time and money.

I'll Be Gone in the Dark (2020–2021)

Better than any other true crime documentary
12 August 2020
I was a bit hesitant to watch this, as a long time fan of Patton Oswalt, I cannot imagine the amount of pain, and struggles from her untimely passing. I've always loved ID, reading up on true crime stories/podcasts. When Michelle was researching the GSK, I had no idea the amount of time, energy, and personal toll it took on her (especially as a citizen sleuth). Most true crime docs are about an hour long, crappy re-enactments and interviews. I loved this since they delved into the writers life, and the absolute adoration her husband (Patton) gave her. It is a tragedy that her life was cut short. I cannot imagine the toll of listening to the GSK on a loop "I'm going to kill you" over and over, and the crime scene photos. I would have been absolutely crazy,I'm glad that monster is behind bars for the rest of his life, he truly is evil. It also shows how screwed up the justice system is/ was; showing videos from the 70's for women how to not get raped and victimized (not to mention what they should wear in their own homes) how about telling guys to not rape?!? Nowadays that hasn't changed much. Michelle accomplished her "grasping at straws, and turning them into dust" she seemed like an amazing woman that was searching for the truth. I hope that scumbag is tortured every waking moment he has. He especially held his psychological torture as well as physical trauma to his victims, that have to live the trauma everyday.

Must watch
3 March 2020
I have only watched 4 episodes so far, trying to make sure I don't binge it all in one night. The very first opening scene is incredible, and totally unexpected. The cast is great, as well as the acting. The scenes of the concentration camps are heart wrenching. I have seen some of the negative reviews, saying it's confusing With the locations and timeline, yet they show where they are and what year. Al Pacino does an amazing job in this role. The cinematography is great, as well as the costumes and cars. I think most of the negative reviews are from the alt right, saying it didn't happen that way. The holocaust was the worst thing in humanity. The survivors deserve justice.

I thought this should have been on syfy
21 June 2019
Whilst scrolling through Netflix, and getting tired of wasting 20 minutes perusing, I settled on this. I've been a lifelong fan of the zombie genre. There was absolutely no character development. The main character Zoe is an idiot, the entire plot has more holes than swiss cheese. The only good thing about the movie is the zombie makeup. Save your time, I'd rather watch paint dry

Z Nation (2014–2018)

Can't believe i didn't watch this earlier
27 April 2019
I was a TWD from the very beginning, when this came out, I only read the reviews, saying its cheesy c- zombie. I watched TWD for the first four seasons every sunday. I stopped watching it due to being ,"zombie soap opera", Z-nation doesn't have the budget as TWD does, but the plot development of z-nation is silly, intricate, and makes you feel for the characters. They all have their flaws. That is what the end will be, great series!!

The Act: A Whole New World (2019)
Season 1, Episode 6
10/10
Wow
17 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The episode starts as a flashback to 1991 when Gypsy was born. You could already feel the tension between DeeDee and her mother. Then it cuts back to the present, nick has a tray of brownies waiting for gypsy. Im glad they did not show the brutality of the murder, but shows the mental anguish of Gypsy. It cuts back to 1993 when Gypsy is 2 years old. DeeDee is arrested and serves 6 months in jail for check fraud, her mother looks after Gypsy while serving time. Her mother gets sick and DeeDee is "taking care of her". Gypsy was a normal kid, its terrible how the system failed her. Doctors should have taken Gypsy away feom her mom, and locked up for the rest of her life. Patricia Arquette and Joey King deserve an Emmy.

This generations Kubrick

I have been looking forward to seeing "Us". It starts off a little slow, but it helped with the character development. I'm not going to do any spoilers. The cinemetography reminded me of the shining, the score helped fuel the suspense. I think the negative reviews were people expecting it to be just like Get Out.

People need to stop watching fox news.
29 October 2018
I have been watching svu since it started. While scrolling through the reviews, i saw many saying to stay out of politics. I thought this episode had many layers, it started out typical, but progressed to the child. This is actually happening to thousands of "illegal children" as i am writing this. It is not fake news, many of the kids are lost. Who knows how many children are in the exact same situation that were on the episode. Kudos to law and order, to show the plight of special victims.
