I'm not going to research who was behind the making of this movie but it appears to me they are showing that people like Rockefeller, Morgan, Carnegie, and their ilk, along with one of the craziest, most corrupt man in our history, ol J. Edgar himself, were perpetrators of the biggest mass theft and suppression in the history of the world. Thank goodness this movie is speaking up for the have nots. And, this was also the beginning of the police being the protectorate of the "good" white folk vs. those "immigrants.", or darker skinned folks. Which side are you on. That prob depends on whether you like this movie or not.

I'm giving it a chance but when Michael goes into his girlfriend's bedroom in Bentons place, where he was in the Guy's House!!!, taking such a risk, it was just too unbelievable. And of course Benton sees him leaving!! Stupid plot moves like that bring my enjoyment down. Crap! Too bad. Maybe I'll try Bosch instead.

I know that the reviewers who really give this a good, positive review and my judgement of what's makes a good movie are very, vastly, extremely different. If I paid money to see this as a straight-up movie I would have been gone at about 33 minutes and putting some effort to get my money back. This is laugh out loud funny where it ain't supposed to be. Catch the Rifftrax version, you'll be glad you did.

I'm only just starting episode 4 and the whole credibility about even the captain, no nonsense, by the book guy just let's way too much bad procedures of running a station go by. The acting, the scenery is good but they just make way too many screw ups. Well, I guess it would only be a two episode program otherwise. I'll try the rest of it, I guess. Maybe I'm too picky. (no, I just like good stuff!)

This is not a great movie. To me, a great movie is one that has an emotional catch of some sort. This one is lacking.
