Star Trek: Picard: The Bounty (2023)
Best of Picard Series
Best Episode, Best Reunion (under bad story circumstances).
I love how they made the museum; it brings back memories from a previous decade. Especially when they said bring the bird of prey from the bottom of the river, the body of Kirk, everything with a nice logic of story telling.
The 'new' Data also came with a nice story and a good reason.
Overall, in my opinion,
They really need to get Star Trek back to its roots. No need to try harder, like bringing an alternative timeline or a soap opera where the ladies cried across the universe.
As simple as "Strange New World" can bring the warmth back.
Additional Log:
As you can see, comparing only one of these Picard episode with an alternate timeline movie (2009) is just like comparing Heaven (for Picard) with a sewer.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Just Fine for MCU SOP
Another MCU standard recipe, tears drop in some sad scenes, normal laugh for (a 'lil bit forced) the jokes...
Visual FX far below Endgame except the Dr. Strange Mirror World.
Andrew Garfield and Willem Dafoe almost steal the show.
Just an Ok movie but I think it wont reach the Eternals greatness or the cinematic feeling.. ever.
2021 Movies Rank number 5 for me after #1 Dune, #2. Evangelion: Final (Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time) #3 Eternals #4 No Time To Die.... #10000 Red Notice.
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
A Proper Ending
The concept is still there.. bad guy turn into good guy for love. The masive star wars description also done very well..
One thing that JJ always did and for me its kinda anoying is the fast story telling style. Just like what he did in Star Trek 2009. Too fast.. too milenial.
