Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye-jin) is a South Korean chaebol heiress to the Queen's Group. However, her existence threatens her elder half-brothers and she is intensely disliked by her stepmother so she steps away from the family business and successfully founds her own fashion and beauty company, Seri's Choice, which makes her independently wealthy.
Se-ri's father, who was recently released from jail and can no longer run the Queen's Group, wants Se-ri to take over. He favors her over her brothers, whose leadership and skills are no match to her talent and business acumen.
As the Queen's Group prepares to make the official announcement, Se-ri goes out paragliding to test her latest line of extreme sportswear and is caught in a sudden tornado, which blows her over the Korean Demilitarized Zone and into North Korea, where she has a fateful encounter with Captain Ri Jeong-hyeok (Hyun Bin).
Desperate to go home, Se-ri escapes capture from Captain Ri and his four patrol officers and accidentally makes her way to his stationed village, where they meet again. He shields her from intelligence authorities led by Cho Cheol-gang (Oh Man-seok) who were alerted to the presence of an intruder.
Meanwhile, Se-ri's elder brother Se-hyung (Park Hyung Soo) becomes chairman and his wife, Sang-ah (Yoon Ji-min), wants to take over Se-ri's company. When Se-hyung hears from his North Korean contacts that his sister is still alive, he and his wife take active measures to prevent her from returning.
Captain Ri takes Se-ri into his own home and enlists the aid of his four officers to protect her from Cho Cheol-gang. He also makes plans to smuggle her back to South Korea. Their first attempt by boat fails miserably when they are spotted by the coast guard. On their second try, he helps Se-ri secure a slot on a North Korean team headed to Europe for a friendly games tournament. In between these efforts, she makes new friends in the village and begins to appreciate their old-fashioned, simpler ways of life.

To help his son and appease his future daughter-in-law's family, Director Ri organizes a fake border patrol search for an alleged deserter. This provides cover for Se-ri, who is safely escorted by Jeong-hyeok and his men to a path across the DMZ line.

Jeong-hyeok realizes Cho Cheol-gang has crossed the border and sensing Se-ri's life might be in danger, he follows in pursuit and also crosses the border via an underground tunnel.
Jeong-hyeok reunites with Se-ri, who builds a cover story for him as her new bodyguard and introduces him to the comforts of her luxurious life in Seoul. She connects with city gang members to help locate Cho Cheol-gang.
Director Ri sends his son's men to retrieve Jeong-hyeok. After hiding out in an overnight jjimjilbang and a few near-encounters, Captain Ri and his men finally reunite. A grateful Se-ri takes care of them, providing them with food and shelter and sends them on a shopping spree.
Cheol-gang, alerted by Sang-ah of Se-ri's residence, tries to capture her, but Jeong-hyeok's team protects her. She is critically wounded in a confrontation between Cheol-gang and Jeong-hyeok, but survives. When Se-ri's father learns about Se-hyung's and Sang-ah's misdeeds through a recording which was provided by Man-bok, he takes away the chairmanship from his son and kicks them out of the family. Se-hyung blames his wife for their situation and she decides to inform the National Intelligence Service (NIS) of Se-ri's North Korean activities.
Cheol-gang is killed by the NIS, but Captain Ri and his company are detained. Jeong-hyeok takes full responsibility and lies to the authorities that he manipulated Se-ri for his own gain. This would absolve Se-ri and his company of all potential crimes. However, the NIS finds no incriminating behavior and even offers amnesty to the North Koreans and help to get settled in Seoul, but they decline and decide to return home. Both governments agree to a quiet prisoner exchange and Se-ri is exonerated of any crimes. Her stepmother, having reconciled with Se-ri, drives Se-ri at high speed to the exchange, where Se-ri gets to see Jeong-hyeok one last time before saying goodbye for good.
As Seung-jun is about to depart from North Korea, he learns that Dan is being held captive and he goes to save her. He succeeds but is shot. Dan professes her love during the ambulance ride but he dies in her arms. She grieves over his death and decides to avenge Seung-jun and catch the culprits. Ultimately, she finds evidence that Sang-ah and Se-hyung had used Cho Cheol-gang for their own purposes, which leads to their arrest by the joint task force of National Intelligence Service and the Seoul Police. Dan tells her parents that she will never marry and intends to continue her musical career.
Three years later, Se-hyung remains in jail and files for divorce. Se-ri continues managing Seri's Choice and her other half-brother, Se-jun, is the Chairman of Queen's Group, with the day-to-day business being handled by a professional CEO.

A young woman awakens in an airtight medical cryogenic unit, and discovers that she is trapped and that the unit's oxygen levels are falling rapidly. Suffering from memory loss, she does not remember who she is or how she got there. She is assisted by an advanced A. I. named MILO, but it refuses to open the cryo unit without an administrator code. Using MILO, she is able to transmit outside the pod and contact emergency services. She provides them with the cryo unit's model and serial number, which are printed on the interior. Upon contacting the manufacturer they are told the unit was destroyed three years prior. Unable to recall her memories, she looks for clues about her past by searching for pictures and articles through the AI computer and finds her name, Elizabeth Hansen. She realizes she is a cryogenic doctor. She finds her husband, Léo Ferguson, and his contact number by accessing her social media, but when she calls his number a woman answers. She tells the woman that she is Léo's wife and demands to speak to him. The woman seems confused and hangs up.
As the oxygen level continues to fall, she begins hallucinating and tries to open the pod, only to be electrocuted. She then receives a call back from the police but suspects they are hiding something from her, and disconnects. The unknown woman she called earlier rings and tells her that her husband is dead. She also gives her the administrator code to open the pod, but tells her she cannot open the pod or she will die. Elizabeth uses the code, and begins floating without gravity. After a brief explanation, it is revealed that she has been placed into hyper-sleep for a 14 light-year journey to another planet. Her secret mission is to travel to a new planet, as mankind will be extinct in the near future due to a deadly virus. The virus also killed her husband, Léo.
Heartbroken by the truth, she deduces the awakening was due to a processor overheating and realizes she must divert the functions of the processor to another processor assigned to non-essential functions, but initially fails since the data exceeds capacity. As time passes by and with oxygen levels fading, she prepares for suicide by attempting to open the pod. Shortly after, she discovers Léo is also in hypersleep in the damaged spaceship together with nearly 10,000 others, but she notices he lacks a scar on his forehead that he had before. Upon further investigation, through a video presented by an elderly version of her, it is revealed that she is a genetic clone with the original Elizabeth Hansen's personality and memories implanted, including memories of Léo. The woman she has been speaking to on earth is the original, and now elderly, Elizabeth Hansen.
MILO activates a euthanasia protocol due to a non-existence chance of survival, however Elizabeth's clone manages to deactivate it and successfully diverts the functions of the processor and is put back in hypersleep. The final scene shows the clones of Léo and Elizabeth on the new planet smiling, embracing each other.

Kizie Basu is fighting thyroid cancer when she meets Immanuel Rajkumar Junior or Manny, who has previously suffered from osteosarcoma and is in remission. Manny and his friend JP, who is suffering from glaucoma, are making a movie together, inspired by Rajinikanth's films. Manny invites Kizie to be the female lead. The two bond over his love for Rajnikanth's movies and her love for music, specifically an incomplete song by Abhimanyu Veer. Kizie and Manny gradually fall in love as they shoot scenes for JP's film. After an operation, JP loses sight in his second eye, making him go blind.
One day, Manny informs Kizie that he has managed to get track down Abhimanyu Veer and get in touch with him. Kizie e-mails Veer, who replies that she can visit him in Paris to get her questions answered. Kizie and Manny convince Kizie's parents to allow them to take the trip, with the condition that Kizie's mother would join them. As they are making arrangements for the trip, Kizie's cancer gets worse and she is hospitalized.
After her recovery, she is weakened and initially distances herself from Manny but later relents. They go to Paris to visit Veer, who turns out to have no conclusive answers, disappointing Kizie. Soon after, Manny informs Kizie that his cancer had returned and is now terminal.
As Manny's health deteriorates, Kizie convinces him to finish the film. Manny then invites JP and Kizie to his mock funeral, where they deliver eulogies that they have both prepared. Manny dies soon after, leaving a letter for Kizie, explaining that he had finished Veer's song for her, but ultimately had to take Veer's help for it. JP's finished film is premiered in an open air theatre, where Kizie and the crowd experience the emotions that Manny went through on screen. In the final scene of the film, he breaks the fourth wall and speaks to Kizie, to which she replies "Seri".

Mind-blowing Movie.

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is just mindblowing and it'll keep you entertained throughout. I'd bet that your cheek bones will start aching in the first half as the punchlines are extraordinarily good that would make you laugh like hell. In the second half though, a lot of emotions are mixed with more punchlines and you would cry a bit, but the happy feeling is always there.
Kudos to the director Hitesh Kewalya and yes he has achieved what he wanted to, by writing such a beautiful script and directing the same in the best way possible!
The director has taken a sensitive topic, homosexuality, which is ofcourse legally approved in our country. However, it still remains a taboo in some parts of India. But, I think it may not be anymore after this movie's release. If more and more people from small towns watch this thought provoking film, which is told in a lighter way, the mindsets will change for sure and they would begin respecting and accepting the sexual orientation of their wards or loved ones for sure.
Ayushmaan has added another feather in his cap. There are no words to describe his performance. Still I'll try...extraordinary, exceptional, brilliant, superlative....and so on. He's shining as gay, who's more confident (I mean on screen) than his partner, the debutante Jitendra Kumar's character, who's a bit shy and hesitant to open up about him with his family. But as an actor Jitendra Kumar is no less than the more experienced Ayushmaan as he delivers with much ease as Aman. These two look adorable on screen!
Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta pair is here to stay. They are great here too after the fabulous Badhaai Ho. Other supporting casts have done a terrific job as well!
The songs and their sequences are totally enjoyable!
Well done the whole cast and crew..you've done it like a team. This is an out and out comedy film. But it has a strong message. I'd again say that kudos to the director, as in this hilarious flick not a single scene is offending the LGBTQ community!
A must watch and a repeated watch!

Captain Jayanta chowdhary comes back gravely injured and is taken care of by his fiance Kuntala who is an air hostess. It takes a long time for Jayanta to recover and come out of the trauma. He is visited by Sunanda, his colleague's widowed wife. He holds himself responsible for husband Partho's death and returns his ring to her. Jayanta leaves for Calcutta abruptly and starts following art ground ? engineer Sandeep Mukherjee. Sandeep is forced to work for a smuggling gang run by Krisan Chand and Abdullah. He does this because he needs money for the treatment of his handicapped brother Beenu in Vienna. He often visits a bar where Ruby, his beloved ? Soon the intelligence department headed by Ranjit Mitra starts tracing Sandeep's source of money. Jayanta helps them in the whole. It is found that Ruby had borrowed the money from Krishan chand through hundito ?give it to Sandeep. The police cant do anything because the transaction is recorded on paper. Jayanta now takes up the name of Arun ray, a ground engineer and befriends sandeer beenu ? Sandeep's brother comes back. Recovered Sandeep invites Jayanta to his house where he discovers that Kuntala, then also in Calcutta, is Sandeep's sister. When Kuntala goes to visit him in his hotel, Jayanta breaks off the engagement. Mean while, Krishan chand tell Sandeep that Arun is a spy and orders him to find out how much he knows about the gang. Sandeep comes home to find a broken Kuntala who tells him about her engagement being cancelled. Learning the name of her fiance makes everything clear to him. He cant bear the fact that his sister would pay for his crime. He goes to Jayanta and is about to confess everything when he is shot by Abdullah. Following a gun fight, Jayanta shoots Abdullah dead. Sandeep confesses everything to Ranjit mitra who records it before his death .Jayanta begs forgiveness from Shakuntala. The couple is reconciliated. Krishan chand has paid him a lot of money and fooled him into planting a bomb in a foreign chartered plane in which Jayanta and others were flying. Abhimanyu Roy (Ayushmann Khurrana) and Bindu Shankarnarayanan (Parineeti Chopra) are best friends since childhood. Abhimanyu has always been in love with Bindu much to his mother's dismay. He never conveys his real feelings to Bindu and is happy being just friends with her. One day, Bindu's mother (June Malia) dies in an accident. Heartbroken Bindu blames her father as he was driving the car while drunk. Her growing resentment towards her father forces her to leave college and go to Melbourne. Meanwhile, Abhimanyu graduates from his college and goes to Bangalore to study Master of Business Administration. After a few years, Abhi goes to Goa, where he meets Bindu. Bindu tells him that she is engaged. Heartbroken Abhimanyu now goes to Mumbai and starts working in a bank. Bindu calls him to a restaurant and tells him that she did not marry that man as he fled. Abhimanyu tries to reconcile their friendship and goes out of his way to tend to Bindu's needs. He even leaves his girlfriend. Bindu now starts working as a dubbing artist and both fall in love with each other. Bindu's dream comes true as she gets a chance to become a singer. Bindu's album is released and upon its release the album is not received well. Bindu is devastated and their relationship is strained because of her failure. Abhimanyu proposes Bindu for marriage, but Bindu leaves him and goes to Bangalore. Now Abhimanyu becomes a writer who writes erotic horror novels, his first novel becomes a hit. But the manager forces him to write novels quickly. Thus he takes a break and moves to his house in Kolkata. A birthday party is organised and Bindu comes to Kolkata as well. Bindu is now married to Mr.Nair and has a daughter as well. Both of them visit the place where they used to go to since they were children and start remembering their past memories. The film ends as Abhimanyu and Bindu dance together at the birthday party.
