Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023)
Great storytelling and animation
I loved this movie. It was so well written and have just about everyone shining. It takes a complicated concept like the multiverse and actually tells it in a way anyone can understand and actually explore different types of universes.
Gwen is shown struggling, vulnerable, yet still strong and confident. Miles isn't a side show in his own movie either even though we finally see Miguel take stage. They set this up for a sequel and I was honestly ready for another 2 hours when this ended.
Just like the first movie, the soundtrack goes with the scenes and add to the feel. I grew up in NYC, and this really took me back. BRAVO!!
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022)
Had no right to be this good!
Great character development and such a well told story. I thought it would be just a casual fun movie but it was a well thought out story of dealing with your past mistakes while facing your mortality. The hero's were strong, relatable, and vulnerable while never subverting who they were.
Each of the character has a personality, contribution and place in the story that makes sense. None of them are forced in for a quota or seem out of place. All the moves have a purpose and the writers deserve all the praises for this.
Great growth and shows that Hollywood can still put together a good movie when they want to. Really beat my expectations.
Cannon Busters (2019)
Great story, but a little slow paced
Defiantly enjoyed the six fi wasteland vibe and animations style. They action scenes were a little sporadic. I hope the series continues.
Venom (2018)
See it yourself.
Never believe critics. This movie was fun and paced well. Venom and Eddie had a funny relationship that kept the humor in almost every scene. Totally worth seeing?
