The Next Level (I) (2022)

Worse than the first

Plot: A bunch of scientifically illiterate con artists moan about censorship. And level still means curved, in the context under discussion. The official, contextual, definition of level is "everywhere perpendicular to a plumb line."

All the 1 star ratings are from people who understand science. The guy or gal complaining about all the 1 star rating is a typical, science-denying, brainwashed flat-earther.

Weak
28 January 2022
Despite the raving of one reviewer, who doesn't seem to know that different people can have differing views about the same topic, this mini-series misses the mark. The acting was good and the story was quite engaging ... until the last 10 minutes. The scene at the very end is the epitome of corny and, frankly, let down an otherwise fairly interesting watch.

The latest installment of an All-Time classic

My only gripe is that the younger generation who've not seen the original trilogy won't fully grasp the relevance of many scenes and references.

It's highly recommended for any viewer, who hasn't seen the originals, to go and watch them. I'm not talking about the remake from 2010 where The Karate Kid is, for some reason, learning Kung-Fu. No. I'm talking about the originals from the 80's. The 1980's.

How much time do you have to kill?

Just google "Rachele Brooke Smith" and look at some pics to save time.

The eye candy that is Rachele Brooke Smith is the only redeeming quality that this movie has. The acting and "special effects" are ... horrendous. The storyline is mediocre at best.

3/10 is all Rachele could manage to get this movie to, which gives a hint to how terrible it is.

Kudos

It seems that every few years we're treated to a cheeky and outrageous, but hilarious, cinematic masterpiece by Sacha Baron Cohen.

This time around it's in the form of Who Is America.

Cohen has no doubt spent considerable time perfecting his characters. Cohen's ability to think on hiis feet AS and IN character is superb - much like Robin Williams was able to do (RIP).

Who Is America gets a thumbs up from me.
