Fantastic
1 January 2023
Absolutely in love with this series. People say it's a slow burn. I have a very difficult time following movies/ series and always have to be doing something with my hands while watching. But, not with this one, it captured me. Acting is amazing and Emily Blunt is a rockstar. I really wonder what it would have been like to have existed during that time, when everything just seems so raw. Everything about it is great, including the music. Love the music by Sixto Rodriguez. This is also appealing to those people who shy way from westerns. I am not a big fan of westerns, however, the fact that it is a western didn't really seem to matter to me with this series.

Charlie Hunnan not up to par.
6 November 2022
I disagree with the reviewers who think Charlie Hunnan's acting is good. I loved him in sons of anarchy, but I don't think he is doing a great job in this role. And I feel that if his acting were better the show would be much better. It feels too put on, I don't feel is is a good lead for the show and because of this the show is lacking. He just seems tired to me, like he is trying too hard and it comes across as unnatural.

I feel the other actors in the show are doing a great job and are much more exciting to watch. I just wish there was a different lead in the role because, to me, he is coming across as boring.

Americans should be ashamed
2 August 2022
I am absolutely disgusted that these "pigs" cops were never charged for his crime. It is beyond my understanding why they were let go, basically for one "pig", let go the second time. I will say I am a white Canadian, and am so happy to have been born on my side of the border. You question why black Americans may have issues with white people. It's because they have every right. This was just one day in America, can you imagine if you looked at everyday. This movie really hit me hard, I feel it should be shown throughout classrooms for education purposes.

Keeping Faith (2017–2021)

Over the top
14 June 2021
So, I absolutely loved the first season and thought that the woman faith was an amazing actress. And I wondered why she didn't receive a ton of awards. So by the last season I couldn't take her anymore. The acting just got way too over the top for me. The third season basically showed a constantly pissed off, spoiled brat of a person. And I became nauseated with her hissing and child like antics. The acting faltered majorly, it became too "put on", and totally turned me off. It wasn't the fact that she was acting more like a child than her daughters, it was the way she portrayed it, it was her blunt repetition of words, the hissing, the hitting of objects nearby, All depicted a woman broken and pissed of at the world type of person, but it just got to be TOO MUCH.

Not too sure.....
19 March 2021
A little too flat for my liking. I think it went overboard on the non drama. I think the topic deserves a little more conversation a little more emotion than was portrayed here. What also bothered me was the questioning in the clinic, having been in this situation, I can say that that is not the way the conversation or questioning goes. I think it went a little too far with the dullness of it all.

This show would have been a lot better had it had a better lead male. To me, he almost made the show unwatchable. I can't believe that casting did not recognize this. I don't know if it was just me, but everything about this guy just creeped me out. I have no clue why he was cast.

Bad
11 February 2018
I quit the movie half way through. Way too over acted, Michelle Williams was especially bad. There was no passion or feeling to this movie. Michelle was trying way to hard to be cool, and ruined the movie. It is very rare that I quit a movie half way through. I have decided to either a) look for a documentary or b) read about the event through an article. This rating is way too high.

Somebody Feed Phil (2018– )
Great topic, terrible host
31 January 2018
Wonderful photography, wonderful concept, amazing content and a topic I would love to explore. However, for me, it is unwatchable. The host is all wrong, geeky, boring and tries way too hard. Had a different host been chosen for this show it would have made all the difference in the world. That is noticeable within 10minutes of viewing the first episode. A total turn off, find another host and I would love to watch this, but, until then it's unbearable.

Loved it
25 January 2018
I thought this movie was fantastic. I am a Canadian, and have spent 5 years in rural China, I have a great interest and love for the poor rurals of one's country. The joy with which they live their everyday lives with no real technology, the community they share is absolutely a joy to see. They have little money, but support each other and, in doing so, they seem to not make it a priority. People in the western world have a lot to learn from these wonderful souls. I found the same type of community spirit in rural china and do I ever miss it. I would much rather be in a community like the one portrayed in the documentary than in mine, where you don't even speak to your neighbors. I thought this was a beautifully documented picture that showed the warm spirit of the people involved. I hope they have a chance to see it for themselves.

Beautiful
14 January 2018
I have no clue why the rating for this movie is so low. I have seen all the movies that were nominated this year, and for me, hands down, this was the best movie I have seen this year. I could not take my eyes off it for one minute. The acting was outstanding, by all, especially the little girl who plays the main character. It is shown with such grace and compassion. The scenes were fantastically shot. It's is such a sad world, especially when we are driven to kill our own people. The only reason I decided to watch it was because it was directed by Angelina Jolie, and to be honest my expectations were low. Wow was I wrong.everything about this film was unbelievably heartfelt, it was done with such sweetness.

Enjoyed it a lot.

I loved the movie. Nicole Kidman was great in it. The lighting, however, was terrible, it was very difficult to make out the facial expressions in the dark. I wish more emphasis was put on the relationship between Colin and Kristin in the end. Not enough attention was given to her final reaction of what took place.
