Kapoor & Sons (2016)
A Story To Feel
After a long time have seen a movie like this. Before watching it seemed to me like other Dharma production flicks having mostly the commercial get up on them. The 1st half was all about the tensions between family members, hospitalisation of the elder guy and calling up the grandsons, leading to a last wish reminding us of many other films. However, the more we went on,the more we could feel the warmth of the relationships,be it between the two siblings, two young lovers or most significantly among the three generations. It is a jeopardy of the human mind firstly to face our dear ones and then to accept their drawbacks. The movie asks if you have told your dear people about how much you love them, if there is anything to say to someone, is there anything to do for them etc.and advises to get the jobs done before it is too late because life is unpredictable.
Young director Shakun Batra has come up with a very simple yet deep issue of our lives...our family clashes. Pak actor Fawad Khan made us speechless by his charm turning up into a long-run horse. Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, as usual maintained her real Kapoor's legacy. Sweet and funky Tia played by Alia Bhatt may be needed to be shown a little more. The eye soothing cinematography and the foot tapping music have nothing to be said.
Threading the other end we must mention that there should a word 'homosexuality' be uttered by at least by one of the characters. We know that it might be a little "unsanskari"(untraditional) for Indian society but if this is the same KJo who made Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006) being ahead of time, why did he now step his foot back?..THINK!!!!
Delhi Belly (2011)
Truly a laugh riot...but in the adult way..!!!!
Our Bollywood industry seems to be growing up day by day and this has again proved by this film. Clearly a laugh riot with a brilliant stand up comedian Vir Das and the not so fat in real life Kunal Roy Kapoor. Our very own Mr.perfectionist aamir has rightly chosen to produce a film, which exactly uses slangs like slangs, not behind the beeps;shows kisses like kisses, makes out in bed,not hiding the lovers behind the umbrella or petals of flowers like 90s. what they do just do. there are many scenes which may give audiences the feeling of disgust but hello..it is the name of the movie itself. Shehnaz and Anusha were like an extra treat to us. we have really want to think over that if Aamir has chosen Imran for being his nephew only or he really sees the potential in him because it could have been better with a little bit Experienced actor. & last but not the least, the most famous track "Bhaag D.K.Bose" has pointed a finger (i hope you understand which finger I am talking about) to the censor board with a saying "BAN me if u can",which really deserves a bow from us.
