Weird Fiction (2018)
Pretty good for $300
Its short and to the point. I was ready to turn it off but something kept my attention. The dialogue I think is what did it for me. The grainy filter and cheesy dialogue. The acting is good enough that it fits the style here. My only complaint is the ending of each segment. I feel like they coulda wrote better endings but they're good enough. At 86 minutes it's a fun little ride. I've seen worse with bigger budgets and less movie in them. "Cute little buggers" immediately comes to mind.
Killer Sofa (2019)
This ain't your grandads sofa.
Killer couch has a better ring to it, but its clearly a recliner. I mean in all seriousness how the hell would a couch kill anybody? It HAS to be a recliner. Despite that fact, this movie is called killer sofa.
This movie is actually very well done. It takes itself seriously enough while being self Aware. It's not in the same vein as scary movie. It's more like zombeavers.
The actors aren't obnoxious like you would expect. The main girls are really likeable and the plot is kinda like if freddy krueger was a furniture. You'll find yourself asking "how the f...?" More than once while chuckling to yourself. But it's all those moments that keep you entertained. It did for me at least.
If you love b movies than this is definitely worth a watch. Its definitely better than gingerdead man.

God's not dead meets saw
Slow start but some interesting conversation. Pretty generic dialog... maybe. idk what a group of friends talk about. Right off the bat you get the sense that the soldier has a dark side. Checking out the 12 year old. Nobody notices? Then after they smoke the DMT nobody questions where hes going in the middle of conversations? Dude keeps disappearing and nobody says anything. Especially when there's a 12 year old in her room alone and a stoned drunk PTSD dude.
Why didn't Monica call the cops or get her and her daughter out there house when Jason first started tripping?
You gotta suspend your disbelief a lot on this one. Like the fact that lord of the rings was loud enough on Emily's iPad to drown out the screams from the living room. And Monica having a perfect body and not having stretch Mark's when she has a 12 year old.
The Morgan Freeman knock off was when I realized I wasted a hour and a half. Movies like this give drugs a bad name. And what was up with Morgan Freeman morphing into the dead characters?
The twists were obvious. But hey it's a Christian movie over all. I seen a youtube video that summed up Christian movies perfectly... they are made to spread a message with acting, story, and production value to all take a back seat.
Charlotte (2017)
Why the hate?
It's stories are short and too the point. Some I wish were more fleshed out coz they had, what I'd considered to be, good premises. I found myself questioning so much throughout this movie but I was entertained.
Each story is 5 to 10 minutes ...if even. Like the ABC's of death but more horror focused.
