Have to give it to the team for their Vision and Story World!

What excited me more than the cast was that the creative director of this film was that of Thumbbad, that alone was enough for me to bet on the quality of the production design that's gonna come out of this film. Kudos to Nag Ashwin and team for creating such a story with Mahabharata integration. This is what we mean by paying homage to the great epics. Not remaking them so many times with so many different actors that at this point it's just suffocating. I'm very excited for the second part due to Amitabh Bachchan's character (Man what a legendary tribute to the legend) and Supreme Yaskin Kamal. All positives said. The limitations I personally felt in this film were the unnecessary romance angle and the length, many scenes were recurring and the comedy didn't work for me in Hindi/Tamil. The costumes could've been made even more Indian (but the world was straight out of Assassin's Creed, Dune, Mad Max) and I'm all for it. It's a good movie. Request all of you to watch it atleast once on big screen.

Not speaking for others, but this movie neither intrigued me nor haunted me.

Considered to be one of Kubrick's masterpieces, I think this movie is overrated. Is it a visual spectacle in lines of '2001-A Space Odyssey', yes. But at a screenplay level, it has unnecessary horror movie tropes. The performance of Jack Nicholson should supposedly be disturbing. But all it does is bore you, make you chuckle, and feel bad for poor Shelley. Even for its time, it is an average horror movie, nothing revolutionary. A lot of elements incorporated in the movie could have been put to better use. For example, the suspicion around the Head Chef's character, Dany's imaginary friend, since it's not a scene-to-scene adaption. Art is subjective, and so is this movie perceived as one of the best horror movies.
