Dracula: Blood Vessel (2020)
Season 1, Episode 2
2/10
Wasted opportunity.
2 January 2020
I tried to like this, and even convinced my family to try and watch it together, but it became apparent, especially during tonight's episode, that what we were watching was not a coherent interpretation of a classic in any way, shape or form, and like sherlock, before it, Gatiss and Moffat disappeared up their own black holes of self importance and ruined yet another chance to make something of worth and truly frightening. The first episode, which actually had its moments, but were in turn ruined seconds later by rediculous throw away glib laughs. It really set it up for a fail in this second episode and boy did it ever! Totally lost its way mired inconsequential flippant dialogue which seemed, most of the time, to be penned by a five year old. At times the narrative became completely unintelligible. It really did feel so false and at one point I was hoping that Boris Johnson was about to pop out from behind cabin No. 10! No such luck. Will someone, anyone please stop giving these clowns money to keep making this dumbed down balderdash. Such a shame that such a talented bunch of actors, sfx, and the rest have to work with this drivel. BBC, please stop. I rated this 2/10 for the excellent photography at the beginning of the episode just as the passengers were about to embark.

The Dead Room (2018 TV Movie)

A Dead End
13 December 2019
It's a shame after such a sterling effort to revive the Ghost Stories for Christmas with last year's Tractate Middoth that Mr Gatiss has opted for a story of his own, which quite frankly is a bit of a bore, I'm sure looked great on paper but unfortunately falls flat on its face on tv. Simon Callow is the only real reason for watching the Dead Room as always he us just superb, but there is only so much he can be relied upon to do. Bit of a wasted effort.

Oh Dear...

Utter crap. AGAIN the BBC show us, that they are able to spend vast amounts of our time and money and deliver a product that disappoints on every level. What has happened...
