Past Lives (2023)
Vanity project.
The director just sitting out thinking that she is the center of the world. From her experience a story that seemed interesting. Well it is total crap. The story has NO POINT at all. Wasted my time. On top of that, she manages to emasculate both male leads. What is the point of this movie ? In yun ? Whatever that is ? Why ? This story didn't deserve to be told as a movie. Maybe 5-10 mins on the dinner table and that is it.
To the people rating this movie highly, i dunno what to tell you. My middle school years had more drama than this.
Id rather watch my cat taking a nap.
Slice of life my a$$.
K.G.F: Chapter 2 (2022)
The legend
For all those bitching about this being over the top, well, it's clearly meant to be the Chuck Norris of India. The whole premise is that this is being told as a legend so the dramatisation is fully justified to add spice to the story.
I for one, really enjoyed this duology.
K.G.F: Chapter 1 (2018)
Entertaining.
Yeah yeah, the plot is not very deep or to a got level or whatever the fuck people are saying but damn, they did put a lot of work into this and it shows.
I did go into this movie expecting nothing much but was left pleasantly surprised by the presentation, the overall tone, there was a bit of scene to scene rush, but the actors did what was expected and i never felt like it was dragging.
I'm moving to chapter 2.
Eogein Mai Raipeu (2022)
Looks promising
Gripping first episode, although, i did think that the score is a bit too overwhelming, if you get what i mean. It's a bit intrusive in scenes where it should not be.
On to the second ep.
Halo (2022)
WTF is even this ?
I am currently halfway through the first episode and the chick, Kwan, what a seriously unlikeable character. Also, macguffin, probably the girl is going to be the key to ending the war or something... Not a good start.
Kimetsu no Yaiba (2019)
Came for the plot
Stayed for the AMAZING animation, DIVINE sound design and likeable characters. It's no AOT on the story but damn well made anime. A feast for the eyes and ears.
Shingeki no Kyojin: From You, 2000 Years Ago (2022)
The rumbling is here
Whatever we though whatever we experienced, since the start of this unbelievable ride of an anime. Such an epic episode. Finally, the rumbling is here.
Ghostbusters (2016)
McFarty
I mean, you see the cast. What did you expect?
It'd be a praise to call this an abomination. It's just a fart really.
Ain't worth anybody's time.
IMDb just told me my review was too short to post so i'm sliding in a few more words but ffs watch this movie at your own peril of finishing it with lower cognition than when you started.
What is wrong with hollywood.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
KATY
So, the fighting scenes were good, cgi not bad, chemistry in the movie between the cast were near absent, woowoo had an arc just for the big final fight to happen but whatever,
Movie is a 7 at best, but i removed 2 stars because,
KATY
what in the ass donkey is this character,
so annoying, every scene she is in just drains your brain.
Even the voice, like woman, clear your throat or stop smoking or something ffs, feels like it was the only other asian chick available in wokewood.
Arcane: League of Legends (2021)
Go watch it.
I must admit i was a bit sceptical having not played the game, and also a bit put off by the pink and blue haired protagonists.
But damn this was a masterpiece.
Ted Lasso: Carol of the Bells (2021)
Cringemas?
I guess a lot of people like christmas filler episodes, but i cringed so hard. This is on par with the "haka haka" on pitch episode.
Pure Americanisation.
What If...? (2021)
Hope it gets better
Ohhh my gaawwd, i stopped as soon as Peggy stopped a full moving truck with the shield and tossed it in the air like it was cardboard, who tf wrote this ? I closed the window before she could toss another one.
Why she OP af ?
I hope the next episode redeems this series.
Pig (2021)
Art
Every once in a while a certain motion picture pops up, that has none of the things we're used to seeing in major hollywood productions and you cannot help but wonder how is this gonna sell.
But that's the thing. This might not have been made to sell, but to be felt.
9/10.
The Gentlemen (2019)
A disappointment.
I expected a lot more from a movie headlining these two but this was just some kind of bad heist movie ripoff using pot as a lure.
My personal opinion though, if you liked Hugh Grant's performance, well that's your personal problem now ain't it.
Zootopia (2016)
An absolute gem
This movie is an absolute gem. Them having chosen a city with all different type of animals allowed them to depict each animal with it's respective, let us say, stereotype. And that was marvellously done.
Also, it's off the walls funny with some inside jokes as well for adults. If you know what i mean.
Final Space (2018)
Rollercoaster
For an animated TV show, this surely is a rollercoaster of emotions. This only having seen the 1st season.
Some spacial jargons are thrown into the mix to account for the over- the top space actions and storyline. But this being a show. Well, it goes.
The IT Crowd (2006)
As a tech support guy.
I work in IT, specifically - tech support. And boy, this show just nails it. I get that it is a sort of satire of the extent to which people are not technologically smart. But, seriously, some people really aren't, and i'm saying this from experience.
Fun story. I once troubleshooted an internet box over the phone with a customer for over an hour trying to find the issue as to why she was not getting any internet.
Believe it or not, the whole time, she was walking around with the (box) switched on but not connected to the telephone line outlet.
When i asked her why she had not connected the box to the outlet, she replied : but i do not have a phone.
Watch it.
How I Met Your Mother (2005)
90s kid
This is the friends of my generation. I haven't watched friends, yes i know it's blasphemy. I suspect it is in the same style and disposition. But, this is the one i grew up watching and it is good.
Plus - Neil Patrick Harris <3
Two and a Half Men (2003)
Killed the show
The show with Charlie Sheen is a strong 9/10 whereas without him, it's just meh.
They killed the show by firing him, but do yourself a favour and watch season 1-8.
