Don't waste your time on this horrible movie

One of the worst movies I've ever seen. I was bored the whole way through.

Rather dull Story

First JC movie that bored me to tears. I struggled to get to the end. I'll never get that time back. Slow from start to finish.

Perhaps there are different versions of this movie?

As humans, we can't help but compare one version to another. I personally did not care for this version. I spent a lot of time watching Bradley Cooper look down at the ground and feel sorry for himself. I didn't "feel" anything when witnessing the lives of these two characters. A good film invokes strong emotion...this one didn't for me. It ended up playing out like a lifetime movie rather than a blockbuster for the big screen. I don't quite understand the exceptional reviews of this movie but I for one was not moved in the least. The tragic end did not feel tragic at all. It felt more like someone moved away. It just didn't work, IMHO. If I had to use one word to describe the move it would be LIFELESS.

Disagree with the haters

I like a movie with heart. It's nice not to see a movie without adults in costumes, violence and all the other negative aspects of life. It's a feel good movie with likeable characters. It is what it is. It was better than some Oscar nominated farces I've seen in the past. By the end of the movie it evoked a sense of what life among family and friends should be.

No redeeming features
3 July 2018
Downloaded this movie because it came out when I was 10 and remember seeing it at the theater with my 18 y/o sister. Nostalgia caused my peaked interest. The acting is subpar. The characters are not convincing, especially the paranormal PHD. The dialogue failed to hold my interest during this very slow-paced yarn. I certainly qualify this flick as the proverbial B movie and all that this label entails. Brenda Lee Scott was especially horrible and meaningless to the story. Don't waste your time on this one.

Definitely not what I expected
1 July 2017
This movie fell flat for me. The only part I enjoyed was the Chris Pine bath scene. *wink* I do not see him as Steve Trevor, though. The rest of the movie did not wow me at all. I really missed the competition on Paradise Island to take Steve Trevor back to his world. I think that could have been done very well with today's technology. I was disappointed they left that out. The battle with Ares seemed so trite that I was bored to death. I really do not understand what all the hype is, and certainly do not understand the 8.0 rating. What am I missing? Those two hours I will never get back, that's what. I really wanted to like it.

Luke Cage (2016–2018)

Disappointing
15 October 2016
After falling in love with Jessica Jones, I, too, was eager to tune into Luke Cage. I very much enjoyed his character's slow development in JJ. However, after watching 4 or 5 episodes (I made every effort to give it a chance to turn into something worth viewing) I was not engaged whatsoever. It was a chore to get to the end of each episode. The action scenes (very few at that) are anti-climactic and the extensive, sometimes monotonous dialogue just seems forced and meaningless. Alfre Woodard's acting and overall interpretation of Mariah Dillard comes across as completely out of place with an already contrived plot. Although Mike Colter is great to look at, his portrayal of the misunderstood super hero lacks overall appeal and invokes no emotion. I stopped watching. I eagerly anticipate the second season of JJ.

On the Edge of Your Seat Tension...In an Amazing Way!
27 August 2016
The summary pretty much says everything about this great show. And I have never been a big cop drama fan so I was debating whether to invest the time. I am so glad that I did! Oh, and for all of you haters out there, Jennifer Lopez is the real deal! So get over yourselves! The chemistry between her and Liota is A+. They do mixed emotions with a dash of angst REALLY WELL! I would like to meet the Seer(s) who put this cast together. Great ensemble! This story is so intricate that your head will be spinning with joy. End of Episode 13...WTF?! :) Can't wait until January for season 2! I pray Liota is still part of the cast and that the writers keep the tension going which is what makes this show worth watching.
