Friends (1994)
Why people hate the best sitcom in history
First off, I don't ever rate a TV show 10/10, but for this show it was easy to give it such a high rating. The reason I became such a huge fan of the show is because my cousin suggested to me that I should just skip the first season. So I watched the pilot and just skipped to season 2, after that I binge-watched the entire thing. When I had finished I went back and watched the first season, and let me tell you, if I had only season the first season, I would have stopped watching after episode 3. It was SO bad, the comedy was forced and unfunny, the acting was terrible (leaving out Matthew Perry and David), and it was just boring. Not once did it make me laugh, which is what sitcoms are supposed to do. But the rest of the show was a master piece and to anyone out there who wants to know if the show's worth it, watch the pilot and just skip the rest of the season. It'll be worth it for sure.
American Gothic (2016)
Intelligent, Cleverly written and wonderfully directed show
I ignored many bad ratings and reviews and decided to watch the show and judge it myself, and I can't say I had high hopes for it. But I was proved wrong; it's interesting, nicely paced and a great opportunity for the actors who are doing a great job. It kept me on the edge of my seat, and seems that it might improve as it goes on. The first episode was a struggle, as with many shows but after 4 to 5 episodes it kept me coming back.
That said, there are a few minor problems, sometimes the way the story is told isn't quite satisfying and, out of all the actors involved, Megan Ketch's acting was terrible and, dare I say it, cringe worthy.
But in the end, the show was enjoyable and was certainly not a waste of time.
