Obliterated (2023)
Crazy rollercoaster fun, kept us gripped & binge watching
Loved this! Brilliant crazy fun. Not for the kids or those of a delicate disposition....ticked all the boxes for the adult theme warnings!
It's tongue in cheek & not supposed to be serious or realistic. We found it much like THE BOYS....real, hold your hand over your mouth, OMG, laugh out loud.
The characters all had great personalities & you could feel invested in them all. Some brilliant shock moments that we didn't see coming & some brilliant funny moments, especially with the camel!
It's not war & peace or Schindler's list, it's not a heavy weight, serious, thought provoking film..... it's not supposed to be, just enjoy it for what it is, a crazy rollercoaster film that makes you laugh & gasp in equal measure. We were gripped & binge watched into the early hours.
A Town Called Malice (2023)
Very watchable, my husband and I enjoyed it a lot
We really enjoyed this whole series & binge watched it over a few nights.
Being born in 1970, it was great fun to revisit the 80's, dodgy hair, clothes & a pretty cool soundtrack.
It kept us gripped throughout. We enjoyed all the character arcs, twists & the "OMG!" moments.
I've seen reviews saying that people didn't like it because none of the characters were likeable...well, it was a story based on a South London crime family.... what did they expect, Disney Snow White with singing blue birds & squirrels...... to be fair, the dad was so unpleasant (we were rooting for him to be 'offed'), it made the rest of the family seem all lovely & fuzzy...well, not quite....
White Lines (2020)
Brilliant! It was so engaging, we're feeling bereft & need more!
We were hooked from the first episode. Fantastic location, gripping, funny, (felt like watching Breaking Bad....we were gripped & binged on it) what's not to like. Bereft now, what can we watch to fill the gap?! Doesn't deserve some of the poor reviews... were they watching something else?!...Well done Netflix.... can't wait for season 2
