There was a time when these true crime mini series were blockbuster entertainment nowadays they've been reduced with lower production values horrible scripts and unknown casts and shown on lifetime if your lucky you can catch them rerunning one of the classic ones.I wouldn't consider this one a classic like the burning bed or Fatal Vision but it boasts a fabulous performance by Ann Margret playing a socialpathic school teacher who manipulates a student to murder her husband peter Coyote gives a fine performance as well as the doomed husband but this is definitely Ann Margrets film who walks away with every scene she's in! The script can't avoid obvious clichés but it still is a fascinating watch. My only complaint is the annoying stupidity of Coyotes children who were warned by their father of what his wife is capable of and about money that he hid for them but basically do nothing and even let their wicked step mother to get her claws on the money If you enjoy true crime movies you should enjoy this! It's worth it just to see Ann Margrets performance

Meteor (1979)

the sky is falling

I love those 70 disaster movies they're campy, clichéd with hammy acting and great entertainment on a rainy day and there were some really good ones like the Poseidon adventure ,Airport and the towering inferno so when I finally got around to meteor I was looking forward too it but something bothered me about this film the entire footage of the meteor hitting a ski resort was taken from another disaster movie released a year before called avalanche! That would be like Dante s peak using footage from volcano today! The rest of the film was what I expected for a disaster flick and I probably would have given it a higher rating but the fact that they recycled a key scene from another disaster film always bothered me even when time ran out and Airport 79 the Concord didn't do that.

Poseidon (2006)

horrible remake
29 September 2016
Probably one of the worse remakes ever, even worse than the TV mini series version. In the 1972 classic there was at least some character development so that you at least cared about who lived or died. In this version I couldn't care less if they all went down with the ship . When is Hollywood gonna realize that you shouldn't remake a classic and CGI special effects aren't enough to carry a film you need a Good script to go with it. Why don't they remake a film that sucked and make it better instead of the other way around This film was a huge failure at the box office and it deserved to be.Even the dreadful Beyond the Poseidon adventure was better than this.

Omen IV: The Awakening (1991 TV Movie)

omen IV
29 September 2016
This film was definitely made just to cash in on a film franchise and by the time any sequel gets to the fourth installment it gets pretty old. Omen IV is not a great film but its no worse than Amityville 4,Halloween 4,Elm St 4,Psycho 4,Jaws 4,Exorcist 4,Friday the 13th 4,or any other horror film that has made it to the fourth in a series and the acting was better than the acting in the 2006 remake of the omen and better than most horrific horror remakes that are usually just lame period! At least it tried to tell a different story but if fox wanted to make a fourth Omen I don't know why they didn't make Omen IV Armageddon 2000 which was a novel that was the true sequel to the final conflict

Spellbinding animation but too much singing!
29 September 2016
The hunchback of Notre Dame is one of Disney's more adult oriented animated films lacking a lot of the whimsical charm that makes Disney well, Disney.I'm not really a fan of musicals and that's my problem with this film it seems there's just too many songs and not enough storytelling though I'm sure it appeals to those who love musicals this is not my cup of tea. The animation was excellent however and pure Disney ! I basically enjoy all of Disney's full length films especially those done in the 2D format and this was no exception I just wish they would of toned down the musical numbers which after awhile seemed tedious and quite repetitious. If you enjoy Disney see it for yourself and make up your own mind!

True Classic Disney !
29 September 2016
One of Disney's finest animated films.Great storytelling combined with catchy songs and flawless animation makes Disney's first CinemaScope feature a masterpiece! Recommended for both children and adults alike but especially dog lovers! The classic spaghetti eating scene along with the Siamese cat scene are two highlights and my personal favorites! An absolute must for any Disney collection or ANY film collection for that matter!!! Ten out of ten stars for sure! Oh and special mention to voice actors Peggy Lee and Disney veterans Barbara Luddy and Verna Fulton who give a fabulous performance as well as the entire voice-over cast!!
