The South Westerlies (2020)
Excellent and balanced
This series does a very good job of showing both sides of a community issue that will effect the lives of everyone.
Don't believe the bad reviews. The reviewers are pretending it's not about them taking a narrow minded side of the debate.
Greyhound (2020)
Fantastic
Loved every minute of it. Fantastic visuals, edge of the seat stuff. Hanks was great as always. The important thing is the movie shows a man with a huge responsibility of all the men under his care, the pressure he's under and the sheer guts he displays when the pressure is on. The split second decisions that need to be made and the consequences of getting it wrong.
I've not read the book but it's next on my list now.
The Flip Side (2018)
Loved it
I can see why the cinema elite don't like this movie, it's a bit too 'down to earth' for their tastes. And they probably realise it's poking fun at them.
We loved it. It's different, funny, honest, set in Adelaide.
The best line is from the mechanic, his opinion of what's wrong with Jeff's car.
Pine Gap (2018)
Awful and biased
After just watching the excellent British series Bancroft, this was painful. It's more like an ABC anti US propaganda brainwashing than entertainment.
Bancroft (2017)
Excellent
We binged on this. Four episodes. It's pretty dark but very compelling.
Trauma (2018)
Thinly disguised leftist propaganda
The successful and well off cast as baddies while the perpetrators barely get a mention. It's rubbish.
The Post (2017)
Liberal Propaganda at it's finest
Totally one sided story. No mention of the effort made to keep the communists at bay. Or that the war wasn't started by the west. Sure, the west made mistakes, no doubt about it, but this movie is saying all the bad stuff was caused by the west. What a load of Rubbish.
The Five (2016)
Excellent
One of the best TV series we've seen for some time. Kind of Scandi noir only British. It's rare to find a TV series where you can't wait for the next episode. This is serious binge material. Contemporary and original.
Here and Now (2018)
Excellent
I'm only one episode in but I love it. Some reviewers have described the show as a load of PC rubbish. I reckon it's a very clever expose of the hypocrisy of the cultural marxists/pc lefties, their decadent lifestyle and their issues with attempting to assuage their social guilt.
