Mr Rogers vibe
18 March 2021
Really cute show. The kids I nanny love it (4 and 5) I enjoy it too. It's like mr Rogers and Sesame Street made a travel show. Great way to introduce kids to new cultures and ideas centered around food! I hope they share some of the recipes from the show. I really want that cheesy potato dish they made in Peru 😂

The ending hit close to home
30 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I'm surprised I hadn't even heard much about this movie before seeing it on starz. I saw kit Harrington and that drew me in, being a GOT fan. But when I saw the low reviews and ratings, i was shocked. I thought this movie was a fresh take on mental illness, and a good perspective of how even the "happiest" people are suffering inside.

Spoilers ahead*** I suffer from high functioning anxiety and much of my 20s were spent not knowing who I was and what I was supposed to be. The ending hit especially close to home. I overdosed on anti psychotics when I was 25 and lost two days of my life. I woke up in a hospital bed with people asking me why I tried to Kill myself. I said I didn't, I just wanted to sleep. I had counted our 8000mgs of my medication and figured that was enough to get me to sleep. That number is still stuck with me 10+ years later. So when the conclusion Rupert comes up with is that John just wanted to sleep, I got that. Misdiagnosed mental illnesses can wreck havoc on a person and severe anxiety robs you of sleep and you are exhausted. Add in any life tragedy and you just crave the comfort of sleep that's being stolen from you.

This movie isn't action packed and full of glitz and glamour. Maybe that's why I liked it so much, because that's real life.

Sub par acting
19 November 2020
The acting In this is horrible. People are either way over the top dramatic or so monotone and boring. But the most unrealistic part is that it's 2017 and all these people just so happen to be walking around with pictures of their family in their wallets. Why is nobody using a smart phone 😂

How it ends...it doesn't
28 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The movie was actually decent for being a straight to tv (Netflix) movie. Typical apocalypse movie and the last bit had me intrigued and then....it just doesn't end???? Also are they just like F her mom, she's got to defend for herself now.

Story interesting, acting lacking
7 April 2020
The story was interesting and unique. A minor twist that yeah you can see coming but at first you don't know how the story will for sure play out. The acting was cheesy, with the exception of the main character. She did very well. Definitely way better than twilight.

A movie you must watch multiple times
25 February 2020
You can't form an honest opinion of this movie from watching it only once. It deserves to be watched multiple times, like Donnie Darko or inception. The layers of this movie are so deep, that they can't be noticed the first watch. The visuals are stunning and the girls are had a$$es. The soundtrack only adds to the movie. Such a killer soundtrack.
