Ed Wood (1994)
Ed Wood lives on
This movie is a great homage to one of my favorite B-movie directors of all time. Martin Landau gives such a great performance as Bela Lugosi. Makes me want to watch The Bride of the Atom all over again. Everyone does a great job.
The Fog (1980)
What's in a ghost story
Still one of my favorite John Carpenter movies. I like Halloween, but the John Housman opening, Hal Holbrook, and the eerie fog with *something* lurking makes it for me. It's an intelligent jump-scare, a rare find.
The Scarapist (2015)
Wow, I didn't know
I thought from the title that this was going to be different. The story is really good and the actors do a great job. Great music and I like the way it's shot. I'm impressed. Wow.
The Granny (1995)
B-Camp Granny
I love this movie, camp fun, it does not disappoint. It's actually scarier than you'd think, and hilarious. A must-watch for those who love dark humor.
Satan's Cheerleaders (1977)
Best Camp Ever
Whenever I want to explain to someone great camp B-movies, I hold up a DVD of Satan's Cheerleaders. Still one of the best.
