Self Proclaimed Future
14 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Boy am I glad I this one didn't cost me any money since now won't ever support any commercial Disney Productions. I remember reading an interview article with Chris Hemsworth stating that his future plans play the character Thor in future productions of the Marvel Thor franchise that he'll continue to play the part as long as his fan base want him. Well after having to endure this movie. I say he's pretty much put Thor's retirement into motion.

1 Acting terrible 2. Comedy non existent 3. Zero plot

This was obviously the result of Hollywood Actors bored with there parts and decided it's just another payday.

Total Garbage
14 May 2022
Wow! They spent $150 million only to make world wide box office return of 56 million on this dude. Has the movie industry completely lost it. I have old 1950 Sci-fi movies some black and white that are better acted and written that this CGI on steroids. If directors think CGI replaces good acting and story they are sadly going to go bankrupt.

I new this withing the first 15 minutes of watching it and turned it off. This is not entertainment it's just plain sick. Too me Hollywood actors will do anything for money and fame.

A real Space Mission Fantasy just like rocket ship to the moom.
26 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The hundred thousand dollar question? That I'm sure in the script writers mind probably though lets screw with the public and not tell them why or how a landing pad tech gets screwed into the most critical part of the ship, " the life support device". And of all things you'd think the space experts would have on board is a backup system ready to kick in the moment the main one fails. Not to mention a reserve liquid oxygen tank to supply enough oxygen to over 100% their needs to finish the mission. In this movie the space experts must have been smoking too much weed and day dreaming about themselves on Star Trek warping through space. They go to so much trouble trying to make the movies realistic and then it blows chunks when they leave so many holes in the middle. Also a climbing harness!! A climbing harness. What happened to the strapped in jet pack they other space movies use. Also not a single individual brought up the fact that tell this guy he has to kill himself might cause survival instinct to roar back and become homicidal to save himself. No they want us to believe they are so emotionally attached and willing to commit suicide to save the man that cause the end to their life's work.

They could make this a silent film
15 December 2019
Why not cut out all the dialog just have a movie that has car chases and shooting and things blowing up non stop destruction and death why bother with a plot. Oh an lots of pretty half dress women walking around in all the scene. I was getting dizzy watching all the scene cuts back and forth if you blink you missed at least 5 people getting killed or blow up.

Why do the produce this Junk!
14 December 2019
I was under the impression that TV producers make shows to attack viewership not try to force them to stop watching. I only survived 2 episodes of this badly scripted soap opera. I wonder where they got the idea that Sci-Fi fans want to watch another soap opera in space where the premise is to talk about their personal problems and relationship problems and the show crawls along dull and slow. The script seldom leads to anything about their mission or anything interesting develops. If this show makes another season it's sad.

When will they ever get it right!
14 December 2019
Another dud Sci-Fi show where the writers love to fill the show will mellow dramatic human conflict talk talk talk talk because it's cheaper than creating a script with special effects and a plot where the crew actually accomplishes something other than their own interpersonal conflicts and emotional baggage. People that want to watch Sci-Fi space shows want a show that create an escape from the every day issues of life on earth that includes female relationship issues. They want a simple plot so far I watched 2 episodes and it's like a bad soap opera.

Totally Pointless
23 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I notice the political left statement with the Comrade Uniforms more Hollywood propaganda. But the movie had little plot, zero action, as they tried to bedazzle the views with scenery. The director and Hollywood has lost the ability to entertain their audiences and bore us 2 hours of nothing.

Super Spy Women over comes the Laws of physics.
15 September 2019
Not that I have any problem with Hollywood's making movies with super human female fighters. But in this case the lead Actress isn't super human. But watching those fight scenes makes one wonder if they decided to toss out the laws of physics and replace them with laws of Hollywood Heroins the 90lbs female that can kick the heck out of 50 armed 250lbs men and still walk away. They have been making super hero movies so long now that they lost their perspective on reality.

Great Show Original Satire
24 April 2019
After watching this series I wasn't quite sure what I was watching. It went from totally ridiculous, stupid and comedy to drama in an instant. They took a satirical approach to a serious sci-fi franchise of all times. I couldn't believe here i wanted serious space sci-fi and was laughing my ass off. I was hooked after 3 episodes I love the characters specially developed to poke fun at how many of today's programs incorporate veiled political statements and social issues, that's become way to preachy to stomach. This show sticks it's thumb and other digits at many writers using TV entertainment to push their politics and virtue signalling. It's also nice to see 1 hour episodes being and end well 2 episodes max. It makes you laugh and cringe but it's the best Original TV show in a long time. I tried to watch discovery but after non stop talking and crying and I watch 4 or 5 episodes to give it a chance but the characters are lame its not much apart from a soap opera if you can stomach all the preach politics it's shoves at you.

Magnum Was Never about Polically Correct
18 April 2019
Can't figure out Hollywood pushing all this PC Crapola down everyone throat. This I couldn't even watch the pilot episode and turned if off pretty much 1/2 way. Magnum was a good show during the eighties and watching reruns now it's looks pretty cheesy. Now I know why I'm watching reruns of Gilligan's Island and the Addams family on Youtube this show won't last 1 season unless the producers do it just to push more politically correct crap.

Modern Day Propaganda
18 January 2019
Sci-Fi entertainment! Or Veiled Environmentalist Propaganda. A subtle attempt to brainwash more of the public that the human race is causing climate change. Lets assume for the sale of argument they are correct and the earth climate is changing. A made to order change that can only be bad for humans even though it took billions of years for nature to create, killing it only takes a few hundred years since man technology only been around that long. Then believe man's survival depends on space colonies on already dead planets that have no biosphere to sustain man for any realistic period of time. Space people will need resources and ecosystems like earth are they planning on removing them here to live their. What utter nonsense..

I would have liked to put a negative sign (-) in front of that 1 Star
8 January 2019
A show that has no zero entertainment value, I rather watch a rerun of a University Geology Program that talks about igneous rock formation in a subduction zone. I caught about 10 minutes it was painful. Networks could do the public audiences a favor and Cancel future Hollywood Award shows, they have in passed cancelled good shows why do are Award Shows given preferential treatment.

Hollywood has given up!
17 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Laughable, I couldn't stop laughing at the ridiculous under water battles with sea horses and riding giant sharks warriors due battle. I think some of these Hollywood directors have completely lost touch with reality and are doing way too many drugs. Comic book Hero's was a distraction initially back when they came out with Superman. But like always Hollywood latches onto anything that generates box office returns they will milk it to death. The art of movie making has been lost to the computer age of CGI it's all about special effects. The age of movie goer's now must be 12 and younger. As for movie making continuing to be an art form it's been lost decades ago as both directors and actors sell out for a fast buck in over hyped productions that cater only to those with the attention span of 5 seconds. Character development, story line, plot, all rolled into on area the Fight Scene. They don't even build up the suspense just drop you right into the violence right from the start and pretty much continues fight scene after fight scene with laughable sprinkles of emotional bonding between pretty girl and boys.

I'm giving up hope for Hollywood
26 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
These days movies have developed to the point of atrocious, they really are not worth reviewing. Seems I'm only coming here to write bad reviews but these movie maker who just want to score a few hundred million at the box office are bad actors looking for a payday.

They say movie making is an art form, the art of ripping the public off. But here we have an action flick not unlike many others. A seemly 30 something suburban housewife and family get mowed down by a gang of drug dealers. The fast forward plot I'm sure gave the audiences whiplash. For this movie plot to have any credibility you'd need to Title the movie Wonder Women 3. Instead they go with a slender model like female where her most aggressive pass was fighting with her morning makeup. She transforms without the help of some superpower into this cyborg killing machine that disposes every gang banger no matter if she's outnumbered 50 to 1. I mean how many bullets can one carry. Learned all about weapons explosives, tactics and evasion techniques emerging from her supposed 5 year sabbatical in Europe. Something I might add is the total inept, incompetent police department inability to locate and capture a women who's pictures is on billboards. I mean my local parking ticket attendant would have done a better job. With no attempt on Garner's part to conceal her appearance other than a hoodie.

They should have spoken to Stan Lee (RIP) the action comic book writer. He could have at least provided her with some believable super powers. Because without them it's an absurd story. Even the cheesiest action flicks from the eighties with all the same bad acting were a cut above. I suggest that Jennifer Garner stick to moves more suited to 100 lbs female leads in Romantic Comedies or Family Drama's or even Sci-Fi. But if she is set on being a kick ass action hero. Maybe she could reinvent Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I gave it a 2 star since for the reindeer bit part, it didn't have a choice to be in this movie and did a better job of acting.

Dog Gone Bad
7 November 2018
Hollywood has lost it. They are stuck in the passed if they think today's youth are not sophisticated enough and grown out of their childhood fantasy stories. This movie is like a combination of two 80's flicks, Flight of the Navigator and Porky's. But added a cheesy side plot between the movies main character and supporting actress if you want to call her an actress, with her god awful bad acting. In a B movie like this I guess Hollywood expectations from anyone named Becky-G to sit smile look pretty. This is about the extent of her acting part, tell her to stick to lip syncing YouTube video's. I couldn't watch more than 15 minutes before I said "THE END". I gave it a 2 star rating mostly because the only one showing promise as an actor in this movie was the robot.

Attack of the bots
10 September 2018
After hearing all the negative reviews put down and bashing about how the acting, writing on this movie was so bad, I stayed clear of it. But I changed my mind as I saw so many people with 1 stars, in fact to many led me to believe it's the attack of the bots. Someone some group obviously don't want this movie to be successful from what I'm reading.

I found the story consistent with all the other that were made acting was very good and good action movie. So this reminds again not to judge a movie by what people write about it but to actually see it first.

Star Trek: Discovery (2017–2024)

Terrible Production.
15 August 2018
You call this Star Trek more like Star Soap with all the social engineering that the producers are attempting. Unfortunately Hollywood and the Networks always manage to:

A) Cancel good productions B) Let unwatchable garbage continue forever until the cast members are even sick of doing the show.

The Original Star Trek at the beginning was canceled due to the social norms were restrictive to the concepts of women in space let alone being in positions of authority. The interracial aspects the 60's were full of racial segregation and to see a black women on a space ship was hard to take. What saved Star Trek came after the show was canceled. The Apollo Space Missions to the Moon. This event not only caused a resurgence among the general public appetite for anything space oriented. Even the auto industry's line of cars that model new cars with anything looking space age. Star Trek had a simple plot taken from an existing genre where they got more than half the Star Trek cast from, they were westerns. They followed a simple logical story line that exist even today. The Good guys and the Bad Guys. People love to watch good guys win. They don't like to mess it up with complicated social issues that appear polarized with the public. Doing so tends to kill off interest and viewership in any production. Also the scripts writing was kept simple. Where as if you see any production today they replace action with more words or Talk till you blue in the face. Discovery cannot survive as a production by trying to impress with just Special effects because viewers are more loyal to the story line that most Hollywood producers think. I watched the first 6 episodes but stopped it was boring and way over the top on jamming social issues that should have nothing to do with Star Trek. BTW I found I didn't like the new Klingon's makeup. I'm hoping eventually loyal fans and producers of the original series will wait till this abomination is canceled and they fix it. Until then I'm done with Star Trek I can always watch reruns.

I was hoping they would cancel this abomination...

Very Surprised
12 August 2018
It was surprisingly good, it's not going to win any academy awards but it was still a good action movie, after seeing some of the dog's they've made with Sharknado how people can be entertained by that I'll never understand. This is just Jurassic Park under water. Nothing is believable but fun entertainment and a break from all the comic book movies.

Violence for the sake of Violence.
22 July 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Denzel Washington has made a point of not doing sequels. I went to the watch it because he usually dosn't do pointless zero plot movies. Like Man On Fire lots of action but good store line and character build up. Then came the opening scene where it's just about Kicking butt and this movie didn't progress much passed that. Just like they do in your Hollywood Martial Arts flicks. Denzel Washington is getting too old for believable fight scenes. Little build up, villains are mannequin's actor's you'd find in any "b" action movie totally forgettable. Nothing to explain why he's changed jobs, cities nothing to build on his character. Hollywood moves today have a narrow focus, where action movies editors just cut any decent plot or story line. I think Denzel Washington is right he should have not made a sequel as the equalizer concept was finished in the first one. To give this movie any higher than a 3 is questionable.
