Probably too violent for your kids

A darker take from netlfix, if you have some memories from Disney's Jungle Book be warned, this is not it.

Other than this, the script is odd and the CGI can only take you so far.

Best watched at home...

Stereotypes flying all over the predictable script

Romances and Comedies are really personal, you might love a flick and people might hate it, with that said, whether you enjoy this flick or not depends on how much you are willing to forgive the washed up script. I's not a complete waste of time, there are great shots of Singapore and production is alright.

Do not trust the extreme scores.

I have read reviews with scores ranging from 1 to 3.

You Were Never Really Here is not a bad movie at all. Joaquin Phoenix acting is suberb on this piece.

The movie can be too graphic at some points, and the trailers might get people thinking that it is a revenge/action type of movie and perhaps that is the reason for some really low revies here.

As for people comparing this piece to "Taxi Driver" (for good or bad), I really couldn't say much, tough I understand that if you are a huge fan of a certain movie, you might be angry towards the comparison, it does not justify a score bellow 4.

In sum, it is a good movie, and it is worth watching, you might like the director's approach or not.

Watch it and judge it for yourself!
