The Office: The Inner Circle (2011)
Will Ferrell is a disaster
The show went from 7 series of characters you know and you love because they are all recognisable in real life. Everybody who's ever worked in an office knows a dwight, a Michael, a phylis.
To bringing a complete caricature of a person in. Will ferrell is a marmite person and he's painfully unfunny as DeAngelo. There's nothing realistic about his behaviour, the basketball, the juggling, the cake, it's pathetic level humour.
I can only assume the writers thought bringing in a string of big name actors would keep the viewers up but it completely backfired. The cast of nobodies is what made the show so believable.
Superstore: Hair Care Products (2021)
Get politics out of comedy
People watch comedy for an escape. Not to have political issues pushed on them.
The Big Bang Theory: The Stockholm Syndrome (2019)
What a let down.
After 12 years this show deserved so much more. It was just the end of the season, not the show.
Where was the happy ending for Raj. The future for sheldon and amy. The baby. Stuart. All the families. Nothing actually happened. Just a sweet but unrealistic speech.
How much sweeter would it have been to see Raj married with twins. Stuarts wedding. Sheldon teaching Leonards kid science.
This finale should have been an explosion of big bang.
The Simpsons: Heartbreak Hotel (2018)
Just end it all
I only dip into modern simpsons occasionally but my god its bad.
The greyscale segment in the middle of the episode made me feel hugely embarrassed for them. Its painfully bad.
Arrow: Invasion! (2016)
Ruined a good crossover
Im shocked and insulted to see this is rated as the 2nd best episode of Arrow ever.
I came in to the Crossover with so much excitement, night 1 (supergirl), was a 20 second crossover. Night 3 was this. An episode which i found completely and utterly pointless. I waited all this time to see the big alien crossover, not watch a completely meaningless homage to Laurel and Olivers family. This SHOULD NOT have been placed in the middle of a crossover. The big 4 night crossover was actually only 2 nights.
The "alternate" world was all nicey and great to see these old characters. And im sure i would have enjoyed it so much more another week. But the resolution of it was pretty simple. A fake hallucination of sorts that the victims can just walk out of, what a great system of holding prisoners. A ship that you can easily walk through straight to an easy to operate drop pod. (where did all the aliens go that were chasing them?) What was the point of advertising the return of Deathstroke, it was merely a suit which was easily defeated. Where was Manu? Thea did an emotional goodbye to Oliver, only to rejoin him 10 seconds later.
Every moment of hallucination just made me beg for it to end so i could watch the Crossover.
