Having just 2 user reviews for this movies makes me stick with the point that real gems are sometimes hardly recognised or accredited.

This movie cannot be acknowledged using mere words instead this should be watched with pin drop silence and no other distractions, with perfect acoustic setup(so that you don't miss even a minute musical note of this Masterpiece). Am writing this review while watching this , I don't know how many times I have watched this but this still remains afresh in my mind even though I don't have any such experiences in my life but watching this is truly intriguing and you will literally immerse yourselves into the story and it's pace.

This movie showcases so many things especially, am just jotting out some: 1.) Intense affection between a Husband and Wife especially from the Wife's point of view and later when the Husband truly knows about this fact it's too late. And her deep deep affection calls him eventually towards herself.

2.) Character of Mohanlal is really very intense yet equally slow and sober. The way he drinks alcohol in the very first scene gulping both soda and Alcohol simultaneously, with each of scene where he recalls the memory of his better half and we the viewers also would shed tears along with Nandagopan thinking about Sumangala.

3.) That 'Sayanthanam' humming in between, which sometimes would really haunt.

4.) Guru Sishya relationship and when it slightly crosses the border from Sishya's side.

I can't control myself and this wouldn't stop here. Hence, making a force quit here on the detailing of this movie.

Watch it and relish a class apart acting from The Complete Actor MohanLal.

But I want to acknowledge other great artists as well here , starting from Parvathy who has acted so well as an innocent Life partner. Late Actress Monisha, Murali, Oduvil Unnikrishnan Sir, Vineeth etc.

This movie is one of the precious gems from Mohan Lal's career and really very sophisticated one. You need to watch it couple of times to get through the entire gist of this movie.

This movie portrays Vanaprastham one of the stages of life according to Hinduism. With little hint of Vairagya(Sanskrit terminology) and the complicated plot mixed with brilliant acting and the slow pace( must say slow pace is needed for this kind of movie, it's a different genre) makes this a really thought provoking experience which will keep you pondering for a long.

In short this has got a lot to do with Hinduism Spiritual Teachings and is based on prominent characters from Mahabharata.

My Kerala's culture am really proud of, Kathakali has been so wonderfully showcased in this movie.

This is not for everyone.
