I'm a fan of the Terminator series and still hadn't seen this one. When I finally sat down to watch it, I enjoyed the first third or so of the movie. Mackenzie Davis acts well and is excellent in action scenes. The first chase scene in particular was exciting and well done.
But the more the movie went on, the more obvious it was that the makers had rather lazily reused key moments from previous movies. Nothing new is added, and even the hack-handed attempt to brand Legion as a different concept to SkyNet is painfully flawed.
I still consider myself a fan of the series. But unfortunately, my main takeaway from this episode is to not watch any more Terminator movies. Save your future and give this one a miss.
