S.W.A.T.: Maniak (2022)
Predictable
Too predictable, the prisoner escape was completely obvious from the very start. Also, why do they never ever shoot at the helicopter?
TV shows and movies always make it look very different as if helicopters are indestructible, but in truth it is very easy to disable one, damage the blades and it's going nowhere. Same as supposed trained SWAT officer's terrible marksmanship, totally unrealistic.
The whole former love interest line for Hondo was irrelevant and added nothing to the episode, there's way too much of this rubbish used as filler in this type of show. Writers need to stick to realistic action and plausible storylines.
S.W.A.T.: Farewell (2022)
A decent finale but questionable actions.
It was a decent final episode, but the S. W. A. T. actions were ridiculous.
Someone is running away carrying a known deadly nerve agent. You would not ever just stand and shout expecting them to stop. Officers are armed for a reason, terrorists have weapons and can and will use them. Deadly force is the ONLY option, they have the absolute authority to use it, and shoot an assailant dead without warning.
SAF3 (2013)
Do yourself a favour and watch something else!
Wooden soulless acting, together with some really bad storylines make this a very bad watch.
My wife all of them but I only watched a few episodes whilst reading a book.
The rescues involving scuba diving were absolutely appalling, totally unrealistic and downright dangerous in their content. Whoever advised on this needs to return to scuba school.
Walker: Common Ground (2022)
Just ridiculous.
Nobody, and I mean absolutely nobody is so stupid that they would keep something likely to incriminate them in someone's death. The moment that lamp turned up, it would have been taken and permanently destroyed.
The storyline has gone down hill rapidly this season, and the whole family feud part is just dragging on and on...boring!
Reacher: Pie (2022)
A much more realistic Reacher
Well written, well cast, with one or two exceptions...
Neagley doesn't appear in book one, and some of the fight scenes were off, especially the crowbar fight in ep 7. Reacher would never get hit so many times. Apart from that, everyone dies that is supposed to and in a brutal way.
On the whole, I enjoyed it and it was pretty close to the book.
Already looking forward to seeing season 2.
Law & Order: Organized Crime: As Nottingham Was to Robin Hood (2022)
About as far fetched as it gets!
Utterly ridiculous storyline, nobody just gets access to a governor, and gets to convince them of of their innocence and be the "good guy" so easily.
Also, at least with the original L&O and SVU we get some different stories each week, this single focus is just boring and as my title says, far fetched.
Stabler is being set up as the fall guy for Wheatley, too obvious.
9-1-1: Lone Star: Shock & Thaw (2022)
Is the 126 going to spend all season in the snow?
3 episodes of snow and ice and the 126 fire house is still not saved. The plots are so thin you can see right through them, all too predictable.
I'll give it one more episode and if it's still snowing, I'm done.
Big Sky: Mother Nurture (2021)
Getting more ridiculous by the week!
As my title says, the storyline gets more ridiculous by the week.
Jenny keeps talking about following protocols but she's now an under-sherrif, and driving in an unofficial police vehicle with no lights or siren and more importantly no radio. That just doesn't happen even in the wilds of Montana.
Additionally, private investigators are never given the latitude to be involved in crime investigations in the way it's being portrayed.
SEAL Team: Trust, But Verify: Part 2 (2021)
Need a better military advisor
No combat operations by any military force would ever be carried out without proper camouflage makeup, especially in the dark. Human skin shines even in moonlight!
A decent episode as usual but lacking in correct procedures.
S.W.A.T.: Vagabundo (2021)
S.W.A.T. but not S.W.A.T.
As my review title says.
I could accept this as a background or secondary story as a part of an actual S. W. A. T. story line. But to completely miss out any action by the squad is just ridiculous.
Might just as well just call it "Hondo goes to Mexico to find himself" or "Trouble find Hondo in Mexico"
Magnum P.I.: The Harder They Fall (2021)
Ferrari vs Jeep
Anyone else sick of the stupid car sequences?
It's a Ferrari 488 Spider for heaven's sake! It could have passed the Jeep in seconds and stopped. These sequences should be more realistic for the vehicles being used.
As for the storyline, Strangers on A Train rehash, nothing special.
Lucifer: Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam (2021)
Freddie Mercury would be turning in his grave!
Can't stand these TV shows that have episodes turned into musical performances, just dreadful.
We watch them for the shows we love, not to see them turned into this rubbish.
NCIS: Los Angeles: Signs of Change (2021)
Another good episode
Good episode, hopefully we'll get to see more of Sienna Marchione. She would be great addition to the show.
One gripe however, Sam lay down to shoot gunman in the lower leg from under a car, but then didn't shoot the tyres of the suv that came in to rescue said gunman! Come on script writers, be realistic.
Intergalactic (2021)
Supposed to be the year 2143!
Does anyone seriously believe they'll still be using conventional guns and ammunition in the 22nd century?
Low budget, poor story, poor script, poor acting.
SEAL Team: A Question of Honor (2021)
Missed opportunity
Surely this was a perfect storyline for a crossover with NCIS? Gibbs and his crew investigating Jason and Bravo team would have made some good viewing.
The Blacklist: The Cyranoid (No. 35) (2021)
It's called The Blacklist not Keen vs Reddington
Keen's family issues were always part of the sub-plot in the early seasons, and the Blacklist was focused on catching criminals and organisations.
Now this rubbish has turned into a load of ridiculous unbelievable rubbish, with Keen now the supposed master criminal who's better than Red. I also find it hard to believe that real FBI agents can actually be that stupid.
Just get rid of Keen and get back to the original premise of the show with Reddington and THE BLACKLIST!
Death in Paradise: Somewhere in Time (2021)
GPS doesn't work underwater.
Another good episode, but as my review title says, GPS doesn't work underwater, so there's the fatal flaw in the body dump scenario.
Magnum P.I.: Easy Money (2020)
So Higgins needs money...
It's a beautiful sunny day outside, yet every single light is on inside the house! Turning a few off might just lower some of the running costs Higgins is complaining about.
FBI: Liar's Poker (2020)
Pathetic, just pathetic!
4 blocks of C4 with detonators stuck in them and no other source of ignition. Any police officer or agent would be able to pull the dets out and neutralise the bomb, just ridiculous!
The plot too was ridiculous, no senior agent would release such a high profile prisoner. What's the usual line "we don't negotiate with terrorists".
The Blacklist: The Kazanjian Brothers (No. 156/157) (2020)
Who came up with the animated season finale?
Why bother? They could have held off filming until safe to resume, just a ridiculous idea.
I've seen far better animation on my PS4!
Magnum P.I.: A Leopard on the Prowl (2020)
Ridiculous!
Was the truck driver blind, deaf and, dumb?
Didn't notice there were 2 men fighting on the top of his trailer. Didn't notice a bright red Ferrari driving in reverse right next to him and didn't hear any gunshots. Then looked shocked at the Ferrari pulling him up, then magnum jumping off and never said a word! Just ridiculous.
Cardinal: Neil (2020)
Hypothermia kills!
Another good episode but...There's no way that Josh or anyone else would have survived lying on solid ice and snow, expending all that energy on escaping the tether, then crawling away bleeding, with no food or water for that amount of time! Hypothermia kills pretty quickly in those temperatures.
Star Trek: Picard: Nepenthe (2020)
Finally the show takes off, but...
Everybody knows that Captain James T Kirk was the greatest Starfleet captain ever! JLP comes in a close second.
Star Trek: Picard: Absolute Candor (2020)
Disappointed
Obviously it's a sign of the society we live in in 2020, but when was there any "jeffin" in any Star Trek shows?
No need for it, just shows how low grade script writing is these days when you have to use profanity instead of decent language.
Rush (2008)
A decent drama, but not a cop show
Enjoyed the show for what it is...a drama. A proper cop show it isn't. The tactics, techniques and weapons handling portrayed by a so-called "Tactical Response" police unit are appalling and completely unrealistic. I mean they are bad, really bad. The acting isn't that great either.
