Fast paced with twists and turns, an entertaining watch
22 July 2010
What you will leave with is that Angelina Jolie does action really well. And that the blonde look doesn't suit her! A pacey action flick, reminded me of Wanted in several instances with the quick and classy action sequences. Although, in some cases its strange, since you don't really see any characters actually punching or kicking each other, its that quick! As expected there're a lot of twists , after all it does involve the age old US vs Russia storyline, but has a completely fresh take in its sub-plot.

Overall, a fun-filled 100 minutes. Not too long so it doesn't drag, and it leaves you wondering what next, although after some thought that question answers itself. Liev Schriber does a nice job, reminiscent of his character in the Omen remake. Go watch this just to see Jolie and those amazing stunts !!

150min adrenaline rush!
9 October 2009
Having read reviews already about the movie, there was definitely a certain level of expectation while walking in to watch Inglourious Basterds, and it didn't disappoint one bit. Not the usual gore fest as is very familiar with Tarantino flicks, but very stylish a la Pulp Fiction and his earlier works. The storyline is perfectly written and all the little pieces add up perfectly. Each character is superbly written, so much so , that you could have spin-off movies based on each of those characters alone!

Brad Pitt with his southern drawl, provides the comic relief and the timing of these remarks is perfect to cut through the tension filled setting. A large part of the movie is in French and German, and that only adds to the originality of the entire storyline, since some key events are based on accents.

All in all, a must see movie! Pure entertainment , that at the end of the 2.5 hrs, leaves you craving for more....

Outstanding!!!

This movie is simply amazing. Not too much publicity so took me a while before i got hold of it but its 120 minutes that you'll never forget. Sir Anthony Hopkins is an absolute genius. Plays his part to perfection. The lead character of Burt Munro (played by Hopkins) is a role model for one and all, ever inspiring and proving to us all that grit and determination go a long way in achieving your dreams. It took Burt 25 years to make his lifelong ambition come true and all the hard work, blood sweat and tears put into it are completely worth it. Like Burt says "You live more in five minutes on a bike like this going flat out than some people live in a lifetime." Absolutely superb flick. A must watch.
