Night Court (2023)
Only thing good is Dan Fielding
The only good thing about this show is Dan Fielding. John Larroquette is a treat, as usual. Everybody else sucks. The bailiff is horrible ...nothing like Roz
Now of course I can't expect the show to be the same as the original ..so I am going into it also looking at it as if I've never seen the original.
All I'm saying is the original was way better because of these components. All of the other actors in the original worked and played off each other very well together. It's a shame that this new show isn't doing that. They are not a cohesive unit in my opinion , they do not work well together it's just not gelling for me.
I basically despise the other characters.... I don't like them at all.
Cinderella Man (2005)
I liked it but I didn't like the depiction of Baer
I understand it's a movie and not a documentary, therefore they take dramatic liberties, but they are depicting real people. Max Baer was not a monster. He stayed by Campbell until the ambulance came - and he gave up his purse money to the Campbell family for that fight and subsequent fights also.
That fight haunted him die the rest of his life. Imagine how hurtful it must have been for his family to watch a movie what depicts Baer in such a vicious manner.
Aside from that- I really do enjoy this movie. Phenomenal acting by all parties. Paul Giamotti is fantastic. Did he win an Oscar? Because he should have. And Russell Crowe was genius.
Friends: The One Where Joey Speaks French (2004)
Jumped the shark
Well actually the show jumped the shark long before this , but this one is unbelievably DUMB!!!
Not funny, just stupid. The earlier seasons Joey was just a cool guy. A good friend with a good heart. Yeah he was a little dumb, sure. But this is over the top stupid.
Romeo + Juliet (1996)
Shakespeare s words save it
When it first started I thought I was going to hate it. Too many fast movements bright lights and flashing bells and whistles. I thought it was going to be utterly annoying and take away from the brilliance of Shakespearean's words.
Well honestly, some of it was. But his words - along with the brilliant acting - rose above the director's distractions and made it enjoyable.
Plus the music is fantastic. I remember having this cd when I was in high school when the film came out.
Each piece of music fits the scene perfectly.
I would love to see another modern day romeo and Juliet done without all the flashing lights and nonsense. Just let the actors elevate the work - no need for glitz.
Pete Postlethwaite as Father Laurence - BRILLANT ACTOR. He is missed. He's one of my favorites. He's brilliant in this as he is in everything he does. He's the only actor in the film that spoke in iambic pentameter.
A Million Little Things: Little White Lies (2022)
Sophie is unbearable
Why does she get so kissed off so quickly? She's ridiculous. Becoming unbearable, actually. I loved this series when it first started, but it's getting annoying.
And Just Like That...: No Strings Attached (2022)
Horrible
Carrie wearing high heels while painting. Idiot. Drives me insane. Lily and Charlotte - that whole thing (don't want to give it away). But ... ANNOYING!!!!
And Just Like That... (2021)
Hated it at first , but now I'm loving it
The first 2 episodes I thought omg this is going to be awful. But I'm warming up to it and I'm loving it now. It's great to see the cast again. I do kiss Samantha but they did a nice job telling her story and replacing her with other cool characters
I LOVE Miranda so much more now !!! She was always such a hostile b**ch - now, she's more happy, kind, compassionate. The way she speaks - more calm and understanding. Her character is much improved.
And Just Like That...: Hello It's Me (2021)
Dumb
Carrie is dumb!!! That scene at the end is ridiculous. Why didn't she call 911!!!!!!!!
Sarah Jessica's acting in the 2nd episode sucks too. She would me on the floor screaming
Only saving grace is Sanford. I love seeing Willie Garson. May he Rest In Peace. I miss him.
The Many Saints of Newark (2021)
Should have been a series
Thought this was supposed to be about Tony and Dickie's relationship- well it's basically nonexistent! They show dickie doing other things but not so much with Tony - this would have worked better as a 6 to 10 episode series to have more time to flush out the story.
A Million Little Things: No One Is to Blame (2021)
Eddie
I think that if Eddie had more support for his pain management and not have felt the pressures of being a good dad from his wife and son, it would have never got to that point. The man was legit suffering. At the same time, he should have sat down with Katherine and explained all of this. Maybe she could have kept the pills with her and assigned one for times like going to Theo's play and things like this. Or at least spoke to a doctor about other options or something.
Why was the commercial offensive? I think people are too sensitive sometimes. It was like any other commercial out there that thrives off mass consumerism - commercials make it seem like their product will make you feel better , or make things better. That's the design of all of them - because people think if they buy this or hold that or drink this, they will feel better
Wasn't any different than anything else - it was just using the situation at hand. I don't feel it was racist at all or offensive.
In Her Shoes (2005)
Disappointing
Why aren't the lead characters played by actual Jewish actresses? This is beyond frustrating to me.
Mrs lefkowitz and Jerry Adlers character Luis are the only Jewish actors!
It frustrates me as a Jewish woman. To me, this is like black face.
Little Women (2019)
Really good!!
I love the version with Winona Ryder and I never thought I would appreciate a newer version as much , but I do!! Thoroughly enjoyable. Wonderful acting and I like what they did with it
Little Women was written 150 years ago and it's just as relevant today. It has stood the test of time and has warmed the hearts of and inspired many
Little Women (2018)
Horrible
When jo and meg go to the New Year's Eve party they are not even wearing coats. They are supposed to be in Concord Massachusetts on December 21st it'll be single digits or the teens. At best it would be 25° F
Just some things like this that are not well thought out .... and why would Laurie be going to Stanford instead of Harvard ... doesn't make sense.
Also the actress who played Jo sucked. She talks like she's chewing her face. The acting is just awful. She doesn't have any lovable attributes like the real Jo
I really wanted to like this and I went in with an open mind. I think they did a good job with modernizing the story honestly .... but these little things ruined it.
Well the actress who played Jo that's a big thing lol
But I have to give credit to the story itself and how they modernized it. They did A pretty good job I think. I would like to see another modernization ... maybe one that takes place in the 90s so it's modernized but we didn't have cell phones and texting lol
