My new favorite reality show - more seasons PLEASE
19 February 2021
I enjoyed them SOOOO much! They were able to allow you to see how a loving jovial family runs a seriously sad business trade. They weren't buffoonish or slapstick-ish but they were professional when dealing with the public and loving when dealing with each other. They laugh and joke and kid around which is what you must do to keep balance when death is all around you. They keep things light and fun while running their business. AND they're the epitome of a fun-loving Southern family.

Warning: Spoilers
WARNING SPOILER:

With all of the other predictable, loose ended bad things about this movie, the single dumbest thing that I noticed off the top was the fact that neither the patient or the fake husband had to provide ID OR PROOF OF INSURANCE. How does someone with such horrific injuries to include needing surgery, therapy, etc just waltz out of the hospital without the hospital or the insurance company verifying who the hell she is and a viable address?????? AND without any way of paying the tab?!?!?! Not in any American hospital I've ever been to! Clearly fake husband wasn't wealthy...he worked in a freeking cubicle and ate bag lunches. The real husband wasn't exactly president of the company either. Fake husband commandeered someone's beautiful home, killed her parents, and stole multiple cars. WTF??? And after spotting fake husband on the video footage (which Detective Good-Looking got thru a nurse, he didn't even call hospital security himself), why not run the tag? He single-handedly went trekking to San Jose and back and never once called local PD then heads straight to this double murdering kidnapping guy's front gate and rings the buzzer???? Seriously?!?!?!

It grew on me pretty fast...

...I usually gives new shows a couple of episodes before I totally write them off. And because it has a proved producer/director as well as a star that I've like from wayyyyy back, I decided to give it a solid chance. The show has substance and depth. It's interesting with the right amount of music, humor and edginess. I have to admit, I didn't expect Oscar or Emmy award winning performances. I just wanted something entertaining with a good storyline, good writing and good acting. It has all of that. So I look forward to watching it each week to see just how far this adventure will go in an hour (of relaxation and entertainment after a hard day's work).
