Outside the Bubble: On the Road with Alexandra Pelosi (2018)
Terrible
The title and preview made it appear that this was going to be a thought piece. It was anything but. It's nothing more than what you can find on any Facebook political comment thread, or any political internet comment thread for that matter. Pelosi does nothing to see others view points, it's simply her berating people that she hates.
The whole Nancy's children/grandchildren is strange at best.
A really important subject matter and could be crucial to find understanding which we need more possibly now than ever. If done properly could be fantastic.
Shame.
Black Panther (2018)
Lower than Average Marvel Movie
Once the acting settled in it got better. Michael B. Jordan is as good as always, of course Forrest Whitaker was good as he is in everything, so was Andy Serkas. Terrible acting for everyone else. Atrocious. Although it got better overall over the course of the film. The writing was bad. The scene where T'Challa is fighting for the crown and his sister yells out "come on T'Challa" was cringeworthy in that the line didn't fit and more so the delivery was awful.
Hard to get past the first 45 minutes, but ok after that. I put four other Marvel movies lower, and then this one. So it's like ninth best.
Crazy Rich Asians (2018)
Bad even for "Rom-com" Standards
Acting is bad, plot is bad. It's 2hr(maybe?) of pettiness, bickering, shallowness, and catiness. It's like they made a movie about the Kardashians. Except that movie would be trashed by the critics and this has 91% on rotten tomatoes.
