Wish there was more
25 January 2024
This popped up on Netflix and I pushed play out of boredom, but was hooked from the start. Livingston nails the casual, cranky, sarcastic music snob from that timeframe in Seattle and makes me nostalgic for that version of the city that's long gone.

I really wish Will Sasso would be in more shows. He is so genuinely funny and fun to watch. Him and Livingston have some serious comic gold moments in this show.

Highly recommend for a quick half hour show with some fun entertainment. Sad there are only 3 seasons but makes you savor it even more. So many laugh out loud moments that puts this in my future replay list. 👍👍👍

We've been punked

Warning: Spoilers
This was a despicable story. Essentially, a rich guy found a sensationalized way to evade taxes and instead of experiencing any consequences, he's given face time on a global platform. Probably being paid for it. The age old story of ignorant patriarchal privilege. Well done Netflix and shame on the creators of this series. The exploitation of these dogs was infuriating, not just by "The Trust" but also by Netflix. Dogs don't care how much money they have, they care about love and attention.

I'm hoping the Italian government and animal rights groups take actions against Mauricio and Carla. I'd watch that doc.

Laughably awful

Warning: Spoilers
The 3 stars are for Gerard, but I really wish he could land himself a good movie. It's been a minute.

As soon as Oscar said he hadn't seen any woman buy water from him TWO SECONDS AGO, I knew this was going to be terrible. I did get satisfaction when Gerard threw him around a bit later on, but WOW! When he gets pulled over and lies to the cop about where his wife is when they have an APB out for her, I started doing chores around the house. I left it on in the background just to find out where she was at the end, which was unbelievably anti climactic. The music made me laugh the hardest. Playing the same dramatic beats, Jaws style, throughout the move at the weirdest times does not help this movie. Did nobody screen this before they released it?

Fantastic series from start to finish...you'll want to rewatch it
19 August 2022
I'm only just now watching this show, and it was totally worth the wait. I'm actually a little sad that my first time watching it is over.

The Wire is referenced so often that I finally had to see what all of the hub bub was about. It hooked me with the first few sentences. I will admit season 2 almost lost me and McNulty at times was downright loathable but I couldn't get enough. The writing, the cast, Bubbs and Omar! Other reviews have remarked that this isn't just entertainment, it's a work of Art. I wholeheartedly agree. This demands a rewatch in the near future. The story is too nuanced to take it all in in one viewing.

It's also fun to see where so many actors may have gotten their screen presence push.

Couldn't finish it
23 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So disappointing. I was hoping the plot wasn't as basic as they laid out in the first few minutes, but was willing to see if they had a different spin. Nope. The action scenes are beyond over the top and the filming is nausea inducing at times. I almost turned it off after the airplane scene but finally did after the shootout in the square where Ryan was unarmed and handcuffed to a bench. Once the fight moves to the train, I just couldn't possibly humor this movie any longer. Ryan Gosling was good and I'd love to see him in a better action movie, but Chris Evans is such a flat actor, I've never understood his rise to fame.

The saddest part to me is that Netflix spent 200 mil$ on this movie.

Left me hanging in the end
13 December 2020
Great cast and enough good action to keep me watching. But when the story took, what I thought was a twist, it just ended. There are a few holes and not enough character development that I was ready to overlook...but that ending. If felt like it came from a different movie or that a major part of the movie was edited out. It was a scene that would have been nice to have some kind of follow up to. But no, just credits. Too bad, I was enjoying it.
