SAS Rogue Heroes (2022)
Modern "Blacksheep Squadron"
I very much enjoyed this series. It tells its own story, the founding of the British SAS division. But it is a similar one to the 1970s telling of the American Blacksheep Squadron. It is alittle more on serious side, think Band of Brothers. It takes place in north Afrika under WW2, but the language and the soundtrack give it a very up to date feel. As good as any action/drama I've seen recently. The acting and dialog are solid. I'm only giving it 9 stars because season 2 isn't out yet and after the final episode it had an unfinished feeling. But I am definitely looking forward to the next installment.
Star Trek: Picard (2020)
Pleasant Suprise
I had waited a whole year to watch this series. Mostly because I had so low expectations. But now with season 2 starting I thought I'd give it a try. Going against most reviewers I was not interested in the nostalgia value, and thought Patrik Stewart was actually a weak point in an otherwise interesting story. The first episode draged for me, but after the third the plot took over and the series got quite good.
