Started strong but got a lot of filler inserted
I really like the beginning of this series, it started strong, set a tense atmosphere and characters development but it started to grow slow with repetitive and increasingly predictable events. While the main events got spaced way to apart and allow a lot of fillers to be inserted to make this a series with many different episodes. This would be a strong 2 hour horror movie instead of a series, and they should have focused more on the ''strangers'' that appear leaving an mythical and paranormal hint to hit. Some episodes purposed contradictory and not plausible explanations and some actors were not appealing.
Me Time (2022)
Average comedy, good Kevin laughs
Definitely a netflix effort to keep launching new material in another contract with Kevin. Look its watchable, it has good actors but the execution and writing was sloppy stitched together.
Kevin carries this from beginning to the end, even Mark doesn't shine here, but even with Kevin because of the sloppy writing, it breaks soon the good premise of having the stay-at-home dad needing some relaxation with a wild friend.
Personally I'm a big fan of Kevin's work and comedy, but I'm afraid he might become another Melissa McCarthy which we already know what type of humor will be seen and it becomes repetitive, so I would definitely appreciate more versatile growth in comedy styles for Kevin moving forward.
Analyzing by ACT's the 1st was the strongest and more coherent and funny, than it went downhill from there, getting the last act which could have been trimmed into a shorter movie.
Midnight Mass (2021)
Impressed with this performing underdog. Well delivered;
I postponed watching this previously as I believed it was too slow or without any horror factor. But I decided to give it a chance recently, and it was definitely worth it, caught my interest, it builds up character rapport, it conceals very well the twist with minimum CGI. Some episodes could have been trimmed has there is repetitive or prolonged dialogue .
Resident Evil (2022)
I couldn't get my self to watch a complete episode
Waited so long for this, the dog teaser looked promising, but what a disappointment with some many ways to go on this storyline, they choose boring. Might as well as name something else it wouldn't had made a difference. They lost a good chance to use the franchise for something useful.
Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)
Its OKAY-ish!
IF you are looking for a loud, special effects, action blown movie, to watch with the mates and without a lot of plot to exercise the brain, which you wont remember in T-1 day, this is it!
Night Teeth (2021)
Suprisingly interesting!
I went to this movie, expecting a cliché from Netflix, but was surprised by a original story, a bit of Latin heritage celebration, refreshing vampire script, and good acting and scenes. I do recommend this movie.
Prisoners of the Ghostland (2021)
I couldn't finish....I tried But I'm sorry
I saw the trailer and I believed there was a post-apocalyptic potential....but the acting....no polish., sloppy....messy scenes and punchlines.... I just quit...
The Green Knight (2021)
Definitely not what I expected
I was expecting a epic fantasy adventure the likes of Lord of the rings from this generation but instead I got a slow not impressive movie. I'm not saying it's bad, but definitely not what I expected!
A Quiet Place Part II (2020)
Sequel better than the orginal
Very good work John Kazinski, good character and world build up, for me better than the first, much more context and maturity, more of the monsters with zero blood. Reminds a lot of what Last of Us movie would be.
Meet the Blacks (2016)
Very entertaining!
Looks, 1st of all its already a parody, so its not supposed to be academy award material, but Mike Epps carries the movie to the end, I had a couple of good laughs, worth seeing.
The Unholy (2021)
Original premise but the deliver could be better
The concept of using a religious entity in a evil twist is good and the choice was original, the actors do their part, and its an entertaining movie but definitely could have been better. I believe that this script could have gone better if the twist was revealed later almost at the end of the plot.
The Conjuring (2013)
Horror at its best
The conjuring is proof that there is no need for gore and loud jump scares to make a good horror movie, I would say if not the best is definitely one of the best horror movies and a reference in its genre. A must see!
The Nun (2018)
The dichotomy of an evil nun
From the moment the presented the evil nun on conjuring 2, I knew this character had a lot of potential, and this movie delivers, the castle remote environment was fit, has a good replay value and doesn't get dull.
The Curse of La Llorona (2019)
Original and entertaining
It wont stick in your mind for long and it doesn't have a big replay value, but its original and entertaining.
