Bodyguard: Episode #1.6 (2018)

Wonderful screenwriting turns thriller into comedy
19 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It is almost comedic how no one was listening to David during the negotiation scene. it's like trying to argue with a child: you try to talk sense into them but child logic functions in a totally different world so you give up and laugh at yourself for trying.

On top of that I cannot help myself from laughing at the utter ridiculousness of David walking down the streets with bomb on himself. I have no idea how big the London area is, but I'd like to imagine it can easily take more than an hour with the speed he had to keep. Surely there are more realistic ways to resolve the plot than this.

I know it is sometime necessary to dumb down characters so your audiences feel smarter and better about themselves, but to lower the audiences' intelligence to this level is quite an extreme step to take. Compared to the dialogue of the train scene in the first episode, it's unbelievable those two episodes were written by the same person.

Don't see the appeal
5 April 2020
Despite the message this show's trying to project, I don't think it is created by a woman. The portray of women in this show is too polarizing to be realistic. And this has nothing to do with the fantasy theme of the show. There aren't just two types of women: 'guy's girls' and sorority girls. Everything about the girlfriends all feels like your typical Hollywood upper-middle class fasionable girlfriends from the early 2000s, around the time of Ugly Betty. It's like a guy that grew up in the early 2000s created a show based on his observation of young girl comedy-drama while even talked to one; or someone that's too deep in the acting industry to have any contact with real life women.

The actors are the only good part of the show sadly.

Don't scare the kids
22 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
1. Being kidnaped by scary grown-ups. 2. The psychic machine turning red-eye and having scary sound effect.

I'm in my 20s and I still got scared watching this episode, would have given me a nightmare if I was a kid.

Heroes did it better

I swear if 11 killes 8, she gets all her powers. I've seen every part of this episode ten years ago in Heroes.
