Chris Stuckmann Movie Reviews: Toy Story 4 (2019)
Just Wow. They've done it, again.
So enjoyable, the dialogue excellent, and a wonderful, yet "lump in the throat" ending. Just fun to watch and will see it again. Clever clogs, those folks at Pixar. My only disappointment was not having the Joni Mitchell (sung by Judy Collins) "Both Sides Now" song in the movie, as was heard in the trailer. All four movies are excellent, and no disappointment with #4!! Yay!
A Simple Favor (2018)
The comedic version of "Body Heat"
I wasn't sure whether this was supposed to be a comedy or a drama, but it turned into a little of both. Certainly moments worthy of laughter, others a bit too macabre. All in all, entertaining and well acted. A good movie to watch on a cold and dreary evening. Very light-hearted.
The Subject Was Roses (1968)
Can't believe I waited this long to see this film
I was a senior in high school, or freshman in college when this film came out. My favorite female vocalist was Judy Collins and her Wildflowers album. Now in 2018,I am finally seeing this film and voila! The songs are by Judy Collins! They accompany the film well! Watching Martin Sheen in his early years of who he was to become. Wow. Excellent acting. And I have always loved Patrice O'Neal. Very poignant film, with 3 main actors/actress. Nicely done, well scripted, and no three actors could have portrayed their parts better. Timeless.
