Kings of the Wild (2015)
Great show
Amazing show! Can't believe there was only 1 season! Every episode is cool and fun. I would very much like to see a season 2, but since it was made years ago, my wife and I are not holding out hope. Just like survival man, another show gone before its time... with all the crap Hollywood puts out, you'd think there would be at least one executive with enough brains to know when they got something good. But from what I've read about Josh James and the other guy, the chef, they've both moved on to other things, so there's virtually no chance of getting more seasons, at least not with these same two guys from season 1.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)
Dial of way to long to get there
So my wife and I are indiana jones movie enthusiasts. I saw the first one when I was 6 and was hooked bigtime...it blew my little mind away and jump started my imagination. So we went into indy 5 expecting another home run, we were aware Steven Spielberg wasn't directing this time, which I knew was a risk...even though indy 4 couldn't really touch the first 3 movies. It's still not bad, all things considered. Unfortunately you cannot say that about this movie. The first half hour is great, as is the last half hour, the hour inbetween is so dull and lacking in action, you literally want to leave the theatre...and we loved Mads Mikkelsen as the bad guy as we love him...sadly, he was so underutilized you hardly see him. Anyways, youre kids under age 10 may enjoy this, but any adults will have a tough time sitting through this crap. And before you ask yourself, "hey aren't these movies made for kids?" Well maybe, but I can still go back and watch any of the original 3 and have a good time. Especially the first one. Now that's a movie! This one, not so much...
Pig (2021)
No, no, no...
Here I was thinking ok, nic cage, gets his pig stolen, goes to get it back, has to mess up everyone even remotely involved in having anything to do with his missing, most beloved pig...
Knew I was about to be disappointed when he trails his stolen pig to the meth heads who assulted him and absconded with his oink oink, and HE DOESNT DO A THING TO THEM! Not one thing, he doesn't even admonish them for having abducted his pet pig, they are also very vague about who hired them, and AGAIN HE DOES NOTHING...No torture to help their memories out, no nothing! So I'm thinking, "ok" this is a nic cage movie after all, maybe the real gut punch of this movie is upcoming, but I won't bore you with what happens, as I was bored out of my mind waiting for something to happen...just skip this piece of garbage, do yourself a favor and rewatch face off directors uncut take...
Animal Kingdom: Red Handed (2021)
Awful start to season 5
I love animal kingdom, from the first movie from Australia, to the American series, but this episode was just so clichéd and, just awful...
It was forced in parts, and the acting was sub-par at best. Then, the ending was the absolute worst. Not only does pope let his cousin go(who just tried to murder pope and his brothers in cold blood, after they gave back the gold), but he also knows where pope buried his brother's, because pope made him dig the hole!
Give me a break! It is just so unrealistic, and uncharacteristic compared to the cold professionalism the Cody's have always shown in every other heist...
And everyone is giving this episode 9's and 10's? Really guys? There's only 2 other people who agreed with me that this episode was a crock of crap from start to finish??? Please...
Harsh Times (2005)
Tour de force
This is one of my favorite movies. Not only is Christan Bale back as a bad guy, ( which in my opinion, is his strongest suit ) but what a bad guy! There are a few scenes that feel a little forced, and a few more that are just straight up difficult to watch, however, the rest of the movie, wow... the camaraderie between Rodriguez and Bale, between them and Crews, not to mention the many confrontations between them and the movies other antagonists, is pure gold, Ayers captures what it is really like when male friends get together and get in trouble just for the fun of it, or because they just had nothing better to do. Having said that, there are a couple of ham-fisted scenes that don't really get you anywhere, but they can easily be overlooked when this great flim is taken in all at once. The parts with J. K. Simmons at the Homeland Security Building are very funny. As well as Rodriguez and Bale getting pulled over by the L. A. P. D. the most corrupt police force on the face of the planet, which is saying something, enjoy!
Robert the Bruce (2019)
Awful and ludicrous
If you people scoring this movie 10 out 10 arent fools one and all, ill eat my hat. I thought oh, thats so cool, Angus McFadden from Brave Heart is Robert again... but I was to be disappointed. Compared to Outlaw king, this movie fails utterly and miserably. That movie, although with its liberal story telling at least had action start to finish. The Black Douglas in Outlaw King was brutal, lethal, and absolutely awesome! The same cannot be said of this movies character...but if you want to watch Angus McFadden sit in a cave watching a 🕷 for an hour, well then I guess you might enjoy yourself, I sadly, did not.
Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn (2020)
Wow, just wow.
A colossal piece of garbage. From start to finish, this is the way not to make a super hero movie...its more akin to batman and robin than to the dark knight. And in my humble opinion, the dark knight was the best DC comic book movie by far. This flim falls so far below that movies standards it's just laughable.
And the shame of it is, this could've been so good, like so good, and it ends up being a complete waste of time...
The Hate U Give (2018)
Here comes another piece of crap
This movie was a cliched piece of crap from start to finish. But hey, when it comes to a black lives matter feel good movie, everyone of you virtue signaling phonies better give it a 9 or a 10 and say things like, "great movie, so poignant#, please...this movie is a joke. And amandla sten-whatever, you are one of the worst actresses I've ever seen.
Honestly, at the end, when the kid is holding the gun on anthony mackie, and the cops are pointing there guns at him, and star steps in front of him, and says to the cops " no stop, how many of us dead is it going to take"? Lol, and the cops lower there guns and look all guilty? Lolololol...the police would NEVER do that EVER, they have protocols to follow, it's an emergency situation... but hey, yeah, let's give this awful movie a 9 or a 10 out 10...? Fools. My God, what a complete joke! Complete joke of a movie, Fictitious drivel...
Ready or Not (2019)
What a crock of crap!
The people who are giving this pile of pig slop 9's and 10's need to get a grip...
They say things like, "refreshingly original", or "great bit of fun", when in fact, it's not any of those... The Hunt, even though an astounding piece of crap in it's own right, was better than this trash. Honestly, it's almost 2 hours of you're life you'll never get back.
And what about the guns??? The butler tells her, when she clicks an empty barrelled shot gun at him, that the ammo is just for display, but all the other guns in the room had real ammo...so stupid. Then when he tracks her down and she manages to choke him out, before she steals his car, she doesnt grab the gun he had??? Yes, yes, l know it was a tranquilizer, but it would still be an asset right?
This movie is a complete dumpster fire from start to finish, and the only reason l actually finished this garbage was so l could write an honest and sincere review so as to warn off the next people who think this shameful drivel will be entertaining...
Charlie's Angels (2019)
It could've been good.
20 min worth of rewrites and a director who actually knows what they're doing...and this could've been a good movie.
For instance, they had a good mix of cast members ( talented ones )... they decided to go the realistic route and use guns and explosives, makes sense right? Unlike the last two movies where pacifist and fool executive Drew Barrymore insisted that no guns be used in either movie by the Angel's, who are supposed to be dangerous, state of the art SPIES...lol. What a joke.
So this time around promised to be better by a mile, however, Elizabeth Banks complete lack of directorial experience and amazing lack of talent behind the camera showed exactly what a novice she is...honestly, you have starpower like Kirsten Stewart, and this, THIS is the finished movie you turn in???
Well no wonder this film tanked financially and dramatically. And It's a dirty shame. A damn dirty shame.
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
Fun time...yeah right...if you're like 6
I gave this movie a 2 out of 10 because It could have been one of the best Star Wars movies of all time if they would have followed the original plot where Finn and Ray both become jedi's and kylo ren becomes emperor after he kills snoak, then, they two new jedi's fight. With Ray being the sith and Finn being the good jedi...wouldve been an original (mostly) story, and in all likelihood a very fun 3 movies...
But no, Kathleen Kennedy and the scumbag vp's that run disney now handed us the most convoluted movies of all time. It's so bad it can't even be watched a second time truly... To sit and watch it a second time I would have to be literally tied down to a chair it's that bad... Same with Boba Fett, they took a beloved hard as nails assassin and tried to make him a good guy...pathetic.
Semper Fi (2019)
Decent
The movie starts slow it builds characters a little bit slowly at first, then in the middle it drags and it's not a very good movie oh, but then they get to the prison break in the end, and here's where it goes from being a 4 out of 10 score towards being a seven or an eight out of 10 when you finally finish the movie
Doctor Sleep (2019)
Disappointing mess
Avoid this movie at all costs if you're a fan of the original The Shinning...
If you're a fan of Stephen Kings drug induced crap, you know, the fictitious drivel, that qualifies as a book nowadays, then I guess you will waste you're money on this no matter what.
Rose the hat? Is that supposed to scare anyone? Really?
Gangland Undercover (2015)
Not bad at all
For the most part, season one is really good. Gritty, realistic, and fun.
Season 2 is a different story, it's still good but definitely lost some of the edge that season 1 had...still, all in all a very good series.
Ready for War (2019)
Amazing
Just saw a cut release online, and holy christ, are you joking? These people come and serve in the us military with the promise of citizenship and once their tours are over, they deport them back to their country of origin!
Back in the day, service guaranteed citizenship...this is unreal, these soldiers put their life on the line and once they're done fighting the Americans give them the shaft, somehow you just know Donald Trump and his alt-right Nazi Administration are responsible for this travesty. Great movie. One of a kind. I won't even get into the fact that some of these people when they get back to their home country, they go right into the waiting arms of the drug cartels, who love getting professional soldiers...putting them teach the younger sicarios how to kill. 10 out of 10.
Watchmen (2019)
Watchmen TV series is here!
This series takes the best parts of the comic and the movie, then twists them hard, hammer forged story, that shoots them out at you in mind bending fashion.
This, so far, is the best interpretation of the Watchmen comic I have ever seen!
Now, maybe you dont agree, because you are a graphic novel purest, but honestly, ones and twos as ratings for this show? Is that a joke?
Even if you dont like it, you still need to respect how much effort went into making this series what it is...a 7 or an 8 would be more on the money... just so you trolls know.
Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
It's really not that bad
Honestly it's really not that bad, it could have been a lot worse, like the past three sequels, which were awful just awful. Spoiler ahead:
So the beginning of the movie they killed John Connor, okay fine they're basing the whole rest of the movie on this. And there's going to be plot point repeats from the original T1 and T2 ahead, but hey, what else were they supposed to do? I mean to make it fresh and relevant what else were they really supposed to do? They've done everything else in the sequels that sucked already... to make it new and fresh and relevant, this is what James Cameron thought he had to do! So...fine, once you get past that and you accept that it's an entirely different movie albeit with some of the same characters as the former first two movies, then you can sit down and have a fun ride. If you're going to be like one of these trolls that have given it a one or two rating just because you didn't like the way James Cameron took the story, then of course you're going to be bitter by the end.
But, if you sit back, try not to take it to seriously, youre in for some fun action and some mind-blowing sci-fi, you might actually even have a good time.
I mean all these movies are, excuse me, these sequels, are anymore, is just junk food for the brain. If you're expecting more than that you really will be disappointed.
And of course some of you will be saying of course I'm disappointed! I was expecting more! This is James Cameron after all! He should have done better...well sorry to disappoint you, but he's not perfect, he's human, unlike the machines in his movie, he did what he thought was best for the movie, and quite frankly, I agree.
