A Quiet Place (2018)

Great Film. I had a tension headache afterward from the intensity
16 April 2018
This is one of the best psychological thrillers out there right now. It's been over a decade since I've been able to watch a movie that compelled me to cling to my husband's arm. What a ride! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.

My only complaint is I left the movie theater with a tension headache and my entire right shoulder was stiff from the stress of watching...lol... BUT I still give it 10 stars because it had the power to do that.

The actors were phenomenal. I didn't realize the two main actors are actually married in real life. They had a genuine chemistry and I think the casting was amazing. Go watch it! It's fantastic. It's also a movie worth watching again and again. Hopefully next time I won't have a tension headache afterward, because I know what's coming.

Great movie wish there were more like it

Amazing performance by Bradly Cooper. Excellent writing portraying a character who loves his country trying to protect his brothers in arms. It quickly and effectively moves through his childhood lessons from his father making it clear what his role is in life, which is honorable and heroic.

The story is very well told, moving, and well worth the watch. American Sniper is thought-provoking without being preachy. It is a real story about a real character, but a true warrior in every sense of the word.

funny, a little scary, and original

I give this 10 stars because this is an interesting new world we haven't seen. Lot's of fun surprises all along the way, what you think this is, it's not. Great performances by a brand new and fresh cast we've never seen before. The whole family can watch it and be entertained, which is refreshing.

It's a guardian angel story placed in a Sci-Fi/Martial Arts world. The main character, Kaya finds out she is the last remaining bloodline descendant of a great martial arts lineage. She has to make a sacrifice to restore and protect the bloodline. The film has a scene after the credits, so it's intended to be a series.

Overall it's very quirky, stylized, and fun.

I, Tonya (2017)

This is a great movie

I watched this last night and loved it. The cinematography was very interesting, and overall it was well directed. The acting was fantastic, and the story and characters were very well thought out.

I thought the film hit some very important points, how the media frenzy storm blew things way out of proportion (as it always does) and forces ideas into the public conscious to cause division, and ultimately gain more ratings and followers. The movie seemed to be far better researched than any of the stories published during the incident.

Every story has it's own side/own truth, and the life of Tonya is taken into context. It still leaves the viewer with speculation, but it does tell a side that we've never seen/heard before, which is important.

Now I'm interested to hear the Nancy Kerrigan story...
