Stolen Youth: Inside the Cult at Sarah Lawrence (2023)
Very poorly made. Wasted my life.
This really could have been a fabulous documentary. The actual story is very interesting. This movie, however, is choppy, confusing and just doesn't make any sense. How could these seemingly intelligent students that came from seemingly good families end up like that? It just doesn't make sense. It seems like pieces of the true story have been left out. These students could have left any time. Why didn't they leave? Why didn't they talk to their families. Why didn't teachers or staff step in and offer help?
There really is a lot of potential.
I wonder how it would be if it was made by other filmmakers.
Devil in Ohio (2022)
Why the low reviews??
This was a really good crime and psychological show. The acting was great. You must ignore the negative reviews. Yes, it is a cult story but it's still unique. It has a super ending too. I have been watching all of these types of shows lately and this is definitely a cut above the rest. I cannot understand the negative reviews at all. Why must these reviews be so long? If I say anything else it would include a spoiler and I don't want to ruin this for anyone. I am still 137 characters short and I can't seem to get enough on here to get this posted. This is so extremely frustrating! Very very frustrating!
Messiah (2020)
Absolutely brilliant. A must watch.
This show was fantastically made. The story and acting are phenomenal. At first I thought Michelle Monaghan would be too "sweet" for this role, but she was great. The gentleman that played al-masih was exceptional. I hope he will make many more movies soon. I hope the creator, Michael Petroni, will do more. I'm going to go back and re-watch because the plot is very deep. If you are intelligent, you will want to see this.
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017)
Wait for on demand! Save your money!
I cannot understand why the reviews are so good. Yes, the acting is very solid. Woody is his usual good, interesting and funny self. Both Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell are good too. The story is unique too. So it drew me in. And then this is what killed it for me. There is NO ending whatsoever! Nada! Boo!
47 Meters Down (2017)
Don't waste your money
I thought The Shallows was better! This movie seemed like it was filmed in a tank in a studio and not in the ocean! Boring dialogue and the characters kept making dumb choices. Sorry Mandy Moore--you are just too cheesy cute. The entire premise doesn't seem believable! The ending was pitiful too.
