Poorly Acted Film
17 April 2021
I think with a better choice of actors (and better acting) this had the potential to be a good film. The storyline and setting was good but it seemed a low quality film to me. I love Judi Dench but her part was quite minimal in this which was a shame. Certainly not cinema worthy that's for sure.

Heart wrenching
10 August 2019
I think this story hit very hard with me. Having lived a comfortable life with my Partner for almost 11 years we separated and my world came crashing down. I could relate to Kirsty on many levels. Watching her attempt to carry on life as normally as possible for the sake of her 2 daughters was heartbreaking. Having no food in the cupboards nor fridge and living on toast is close to my life now. Her desperation to earn more money and gain more hours at work was something I could relate to also. I loved watching this but was so saddened when she was taken advantage of by a male parent portraying himself to be her friend. The length she went to to get herself out of a terrible situation was horrendous but in the end I felt Kirsty saw life differently. I hope she went on to live a better life, I hope her daughters were more understanding but most of all I hope she survived it all. Great story, written and acted brilliantly

Fabulous Documentary Series
6 July 2019
Judi Dench is a national treasure and watching this documentary makes you love her even more. She is so enthusiastic and overwhelmed by the beauty of the nature around her it is contagious. From weird insects to apes to plant life and everything in between it was a fascinating first episode. Can't wait to watch more.
