Supergirl: Prom Again! (2021)
Saving Grace is that Chyler Directed the episode
Again I do not think episodes that are lacking in the presence of SuperGirl are ever worth a ten rating. I also do not think that Nia and Brainy hold down a show. The saving grace of this show like the previous one are the two young actresses playing Alex and Kara. I also think Chyler did a nice job directing the show. The two comedy actors and the one playing a young Cat Grant were just as bad as in the previous episode. I am hoping that in the Fall with the new episodes that there will be a presence of SuperGirl in her own show that will bring more excitement to the episode being shown. Can't help it but Melissa makes the show.
Supergirl: Prom Night! (2021)
Not one of the writer's best
This episode was odd. First off, I am not crazy about episodes that do not contain SuperGirl at all. I do not feel the supporting characters of Nia and Brainy are strong enough to carry an episode on their own. The writing was odd. There were two bad characters from another planet that were silly comedy that didn't belong in an episode in which the outcome could have serious consequences for SuperGirl (being stuck in the Phantom Zone). The character of Cat Grant did not do well - she did not remind me of a young version of the Cat Grant in the first season. The two young actresses that played Kara and Alex were excellent as always - they are enjoyable to watch and do the episode justice. Thus they are the reason I gave the episode at least a 5 rating. The characters of Brainy and Dreamer were doing things that they knew if they did it would change history and endanger getting SuperGirl out of the Phantom Zone. Thus there inability to come across like serious team members trying to complete a mission resulted in my only giving the episode a five rating.
Supergirl: A Few Good Women (2021)
Again, a good integration of SuperGirl throughout.
I like the way the writers were able to integrate Supergirl throughout the entire episode.
Supergirl: Phantom Menaces (2021)
Excellent Episode
This was an excellent episode. Melissa was great in it and I liked the way the writers were able to add scenes with SuperGirl in this episode throughout. The character of Nyxly was great. She seemed so nice at the beginning. Either way she was a great help to SuperGirl and an enjoyable character to watch. I think that so far out of the 7 episodes shown for season 6, this is the best one so far.
Supergirl: Rebirth (2021)
An episode with SuperGirl in it!!!!
Very good episode because SuperGirl had a part in her own show - this is such a rare event that it is exciting. The quality of the episode was very good. I loved the scenes between SuperGirl and her sister, SuperGirl and Lena. I have to admit that SuperGirl and Lena do make for being more than just friends. However, I think that if SuperGirl does end up dating William (the reporter) it would be great because then you have a Kryptonian dating a human - just like in Superman. All in all the episodes are so good when SuperGirl has a role in them.
Supergirl: Fear Knot (2021)
Adventures of the Supporting Cast of SuperGirl
The thing that made this episode was that Melissa and Chyler were great with the ending scene (although that scene was too short) and scenes between Supergirl and her Dad were great. The scenes that showed what the crew imagined was entirely too long and boring. Instead of seeing an awaited long scene between the two sisters (Kara and Alex) there were scenes that were very stupid like Brainy being scared of balloons. These scenes made it so there wasn't time left for a longer scene between SuperGirl reuniting with her sister. Again the writer do not understand that we would love if the show centered around SuperGirl. The first episodes of season 6 could be called the Adventures of the Supporting crew of SuperGirl. Again, the focus of the episode is on supporting cast and not the main star (SuperGirl).
Supergirl (2015)
Excellent Show - Melissa Benoist is Fantastic as SuperGirl
SuperGirl is one of the best shows on the television set. The foundation of the show which is the relationship of the Danvers sisters (SuperGirl and her sister Alex) is the foundation of the show. I am not happy that this show ends with season 6 - it deserves at least 2-3 more seasons. However, the star (Melissa Benoist) will go on to do great things as well as her co-stars. I wish them all the best - but I can honestly say I almost cried when I heard they would be ending with season 6. My only fault with the show is that at times the Star (Melissa Benoist as SuperGirl) was not shown enough. Too much time spent on co-stars and even though the show was called SuperGirl, with each season you were beginning to see less and less of the star. I think correction of that would have kept the show on for a longer time. I will definitely miss it.
