The Good Dish (2022)

So boring!
2 March 2022
The three hosts have terrible banter, awkward silences, poor transitions... and overall it's just a really boring show. Even the pro tips are pretty useless.

Great premise, terrible hosts

Warning: Spoilers
It's a good thing Zak Efron is cute because he's dumb as a post in this show. He and his co-idiot make this unbearable to watch so I could only watch the first episode. They are insulting to their hosts (like making fun of the fancy food in Dill restaurant and Zak spitting out his chocolate at the chocolatier), their banter is awful (do they even know each other? they have zero chemistry), and they seemed to have no prior knowledge of the places they went. The premise is great - a sustainable world - but the execution by the hosts ruins it. They're in Iceland, land of eternal hot springs, to get a true Nordic experience and where do they go to the spa? At the bloody Hilton hotel!! Seriously if they're so concerned about sustainability and local culture then why not support a small locally owned spa instead of mega-rich corporate America? Oh, probably because they're sponsored by Hilton ...along with Visa, Trip Advisor, RVCA ...basically a complete sellout. In short, you will come out the other side a bit dumber for your efforts ... ZE is pretty but not pretty enough to make me want to watch any more of this show.
