A Smart, funny Horror film with awesome kills and great trivia
13 September 2024
This movie not only showcases the strengths of independent horror. And the style that has kept it going for decades. But also has great acting. Writing. A perfect pace. Effective humor. Lots of blood And Smart trivia. It'll make you play along with the contestants who are playing for their lives. So it works effectively both as a horror film and game show. James L Edwards shows four decades of seasoned acting skills, both in his dialogue, facial expressions. Sasha Graham is very effective in her role showing equal amounts of rage and vulnerability. You feel for the characters in this one. Loaded with style and all the goodness of independent horror. They knocked it out of the park with this one.

An all around great anthology

This is a very fun and funny horror anthology. That reminded a lot of anthologies from the 70's and 80's. It has a ton of awesome twists and turns and gooey special effects. Everyone involved did such an excellent job.

Hilarious movie!

This movie had me laughing from beginning to end. It's so good to see Robert R. Shafer fly off the hand, and play a hilariously unhinged charater like back in the Psycho Cop days.

It's a very raunchy. Non-PC old skool comedy, that pulls no punches. Definitely my speed. I think everyone really did a fantastic job here. And made a great comedy.

I was blown away

This movie is filmmaking 101. James L. Edwards completely knocks it out if the park as Writer, Director, and Actor. It has been a while since I've seen a film effectively work on every single level. From Writing, Directing, Acting. From soundtrack and score, to cinematography, lighting, and special effects.

I felt for every single character involved. They effectively made me invested in them, and took me for a ride all across the emotional spectrum until the very end. This film is equal parts beautiful, and disgusting. And it has heart to boot. It is the first film that made my stomach churn, and put tears in my eyes simultaneously.

My heart was filled with joy, and then torn right out of my chest, and stomped to a gooey mess in all of the best ways. I cannot recommend this film enough. It is both the most across the board accessible film to any film fan, and taboo to the faint of heart.

It works both those ends of the spectrum like a well oiled machine. This is a film that demands to be sought out, obtained, and viewed for years to come.

This was a fun one!

An Hour to kill is a 2018 Crime/Horror/Comedy Anthology Film, Directed by Aaron K. Carter. And Starring Aaron Guerrero, Frankie Pozos, Brendan Mitchell, Luna Meow, and Gabriel Mercado.

It's a set of 3 anthology stories, wrapped up tightly by a story of 2 hitmen, and an hour or so in their daily life. The segments include Valkyrie's Bunker, a fun little slasher with 5 female friends trying to make a score at an old nazi bunker. Assacre, a hilarious youtube vlogger style eating contest that ends in bowel destruction. And Hog Hunters, an old skool, exploitation horror style story about bowlers, and pig people.

This film has a very old skool, Independent Film vibe to it. At the same time having some really solid acting, and an excellent soundtrack in it. You can tell that everyone involved cared about what they were doing, and was having a total blast making it. And that translates to fun for the viewer.

Overall I was very impressed by this, it had a lot of funny moments all around, and made me chuckle. It had a very effective villain acting his heart out in the wrap around tale. And as a youtuber myself it was really fun seeing people's who's videos I watch, in on the fun. I would definitely recommend this one. And will definitely be there to see what the Director does next.

Good times, Good laughs
25 July 2015
This is a destined cult classic of black comedy, oozing with charisma, style, and most importantly laughs that work. Incredible cinematography, music, and acting. Filled with rich characters, and heart. This is a good time, gross out, party movie, that is sure to entertain. Throw it on with your friends, drink some beer, and just party. Keep an eye out for Director Mathew Fisher. The man is a force of nature behind the camera. Filled to the brim with talent beyond his years. It hearkens back to the comedies of yesteryear. It's like Animal House meets Dolemite. I highly recommend this film. You'll laugh, and that's the bottom line. Cuz I said so.
