Ghost Stories (I) (2017)
2/10
Could have been Hammer
2 September 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The title and classic English style are misleading: hoping it was a Hammer style horror film, it was another one of a string of psycho films they call horror nowadays, like 'Mother!' and 'Heriditary'. These films have elements of horror (they are scary) but the stories are like fantasies of a psychotic person. Stay away if you want a ghost story!

Ludwig II (2012)
1/10
A disgrace to Ludwig II
3 July 2018
This movie is portraying Ludwig as a weak and disabled good for nothing king. What they forget to point out in this movie is that Ludwig was one of the greatest artists that ever lived. Together with his friend, idol and partner Richard Wagner he created the greatest and most beautiful monument to European culture in history. In his short life Ludwig created more out of pure passion then most people ever will. If you want to be introduced to king Ludwig: do not watch this movie because it is completely failing to portray him. Instead go for the perfect ''Ludwig II'' by Visconti, The tv series ''Wagner'' starring Richard Burton or ''Ludwig II Glanz und Ende eines Königs'' by Helmut Käutner.

Binge away
28 January 2018
This is an interesting series about an FBI agent who is starting to profile 'serial killers' for the first time. It's wel produced and well acted. Especially the scenes with the serial killer interviews are exciting and add ''Hannibal'' feel to the show. I binged season 1 in one night.

A flop
14 January 2018
Great directors can make bad movies, and this is one of them. One of Shyamalan's latest, The Visit, is scary and mysterious. This one is boring and I did not care about the characters at all. The acting of main character(s) played by James Mcavoy is over the top (tries to be Gary Oldman or Christian Bale but fails). Anyway the storyline is terrible. Don't waste your time on this one.

Good horror
8 January 2018
The first Insidious movie was scary and one of the best of its genre. Insidious: The Last Key is less scary and less original but brings emotional depth through the character of Elise. Some things seem very unlikely (like Elise's old home having no change in furniture), but that's part of the pulp factor of the genre. A must-see for horror fans.

Interesting
17 December 2017
What makes this documentary interesting is that both the main characters are obsessive/eccentric. They are proud of their lives work and struggle to make one last stunt together. The psychological tension builds up which is very interesting to watch because both characters are unashamed and show themselves as they are: eccentric and obsessive but at the same time they can function like completely normal persons. The other people in this documentary seem very small minded and judgemental in comparison to the two main characters. But as I watched, as a viewer I wondered if I was being tricked? I do recommend this one.
