RUN. - Great Thriller
4 July 2021
What a great film this is! Sarah Paulson is absolutely fantastic in her role, as is her co-star Keira Allen, who is a wheelchair user herself. I love the authentic casting for this. A really well written film, that is suspenseful and had me hooked from the start. Not as predictable as I thought it was going to be, it had me guessing a lot. It does well at making your mouth drop at some of the reveals! It is also very nicely shot, and the film is really well paced. The story moves along nicely, and doesn't drag. A great film about mother and daughter relationships. Worth the 90 minutes of your time.

Good. Could be better
30 May 2021
A good film, really nice shot and has some stunning scenery and landscapes. Chris Evans does really well to break his Captain America persona, he gives a decent performance. The story is really sweet, and really drew my interest into what actually happened. I do feel there could have been more focus on the refugee crisis, felt like I wasn't learning as much as I wanted to. However, the film is a really nice watch - well written, cinematography, and acting.

The Highwaymen - Very Good!
30 May 2021
This was better than I actually expected, so don't understand the low imdb rating. It is a wonderful adventure film, based on some good and interesting history. It was really nicely set, and had some nice attention to detail in terms of historical accuracy. It was nice to have the focus on the texas rangers, rather than Bonnie and Clyde themselves. Kevin Costner was great, but I really loved Woody Harrelson's performance! They had some nice chemistry with each other; very enjoyable film, decent plot that was easy to follow.

Not as bad as some reviews say!
2 May 2021
If I could give it a 6.5 I would ! - This is not a bad film in the slightest; its everything a good action film should be. Some exciting sequences and moments, guns, explosions, fighting... a very likeable watch. There worse action films. Not having read the book it wasn't really a problem for me. The storyline isn't complicated however, it is slightly weak in the writing. I was able to follow what was going on, but it was a little underwhelming in terms of dialogue. I felt that in places it could have done with a bit more intensity and enthusiasm - some moments were a bit flat unfortunately. Michael B. Jordan delivers a very good performance as he always does!, a well rounded character. Tough exterior but soft interior. The supporting cast too gave good portrayals in their roles and helped raise the weak writing. The mid-credits scene is very good and sets up a sequel very nicely, in turn actually made me change my attitude towards this film...it is a nice ORIGINS story.

It won't take your breath away or thrill to the core, but it IS WORTH a watch, it is enjoyable. It is my opinion that it certainly isn't as terrible as some reviews have said, I am indeed excited to see the planned sequel.

Fun Entertaining film but...
25 April 2021
This is a fun, action film that I really enjoyed watching. However watching in 2021, I could be very much mistaken in thinking this was a spoof or satirical film. At times I felt it wasn't taking itself seriously; but couldn't fathom if this was intentional or not. As a film in general though, its plot is good, well written. Both leading actors were good in their roles. There are a lot of classic action movie moments which I really enjoyed. I just didn't get it at certain times. Why do the characters refer to each other by their FULL names all the time!?

Lovely, good-feel Flick
28 March 2021
This is a wonderful film, with a wonderful plot. Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway have beautiful chemistry and really make this film. It is paced very nicely, and has some very subtly sweet moments indeed. The story unfolds well, and develops into a very enjoyable watch. The jokes and comedy wasn't overbearing. It is amusing and humorous in all the right places, and serious and emotional in others. All characters are played well and are very warm and developed. A well rounded film indeed. Loved it!

Underrated Eastwood Film
14 March 2021
Enjoyable watch! - A really well written movie about secret service agents, assassins and the president. The characters were not complicated and both protagonist and antagonist had well mapped out backstories. A very good supporting cast also. A vastly entertaining film that never gets boring or is slow. It could have done with a few more action sequences, but nevertheless; very interesting & very thrilling!

The Ninth Gate!
7 March 2021
A very enjoyable thriller. This movie kept me interested all the way through, and was very suspenseful and mysterious. Roman Polanski directs very well, and paces the film nicely. Johnny Depp is fantastic in his role, however I was a little underwhelmed by some of the other actors; but this was not a catastrophe. The plot is very easy to understand, albeit can come across as complexing. I found i was actually able to understand what was going on and what the characters journey was. I really liked the adventure aspect to the film also, even though its a thriller. The final act of the film I felt was slighly weaker; I was left a little confused at the ending however, and didn't really understand it. All in all though, a nicely likeable film.

Let the game begin!

Great film - Daniel Craig is perfect in his role! and leads a really well casted and acted ensemble cast. They are all fab - The film is well written, a tight and twisty plot with some very funny lines and moments. A really well shot movie that is amusing, intriguing and has some nice underlying themes. It does really well at making you guess stuff and isn't predictable or easy. It does feel like a game of Cluedo at times. Definitely a fun and entertaining movie to watch, not at all boring or slow.

Better Than The First
21 February 2021
This is definitely better than the first of the Blade Films! A lot more action, and really cool action scenes. Could be a bit more character focused but it's still a very enjoyable watch. So much more entertaining than the first film. Guillermo Del Toro did a very good job indeed. The effects of the reapers are very gory and very efffective. Wesley Snipes was really cool as always.

Great all rounded Film
14 February 2021
This film has everything! Awesome action sequences, thrilling moments, a heist!, and really good character driven scenes and development; which are acted superbly. Jeremy Renner in particular was a standout; gelled nicely with Ben Affleck. It is well written; Ben Affleck acts and directs the film well. Enjoyed it very much.

Action Packed Vampire Movie
10 February 2021
This is a very enjoyable film indeed. The action sequences are very entertaining and thrilling, and compliment the story nicely. I just wish they had fleshed out the characters/vampire backgrounds a bit more. It was a bit confusing at first understanding the past mythology so-to-speak. Wesley Snipes plays a very badass Blade, well. As does Stephen Dorff as the antagonist. Their clashes are great.

Awesome!

A very good film - Adam Sandler in a very different role to what he's known for; and pulls it off fantastically. Cinematography is great - nicely shot sequences. The writing is good, I could keep up with what was going on, and I was very entertained throughout the film.

Fun Film
31 January 2021
A really enjoyable watch - both Mikkelsen and Hudgens were great in their roles. I also really enjoyed Matt Lucas's performance. Wonderfully shot and a lot of exciting action. Felt it could've developed the assassin organisation a little more though for the sake of the story. But the story is well written nonetheless. Some good back story developments. The twist isn't as predictable as some other films. It's a lot of fun, really well paced also.

A Pleasant Surprise.
31 January 2021
Ok so the plot and premise isn't really anything new - however the film really does it's hardest to make you interested in the film. The first act of the film is a little confusing. I almost stopped watching after first 10 minutes or so - however i am glad I stuck with it. Brenda Song does really well and is the stand out for me - great job at breaking her 'Suite Life' label. Good Acting. It could've developed the detectives character a bit better. It won't thrill you to bits, but i found it a pleasant surprise.

Good - Not Great
31 January 2021
I wanted this film to be really amazing! After the trailer promised a heist film led by a team of fantastic women. However, i was really underwhelmed. It wasn't really a heist film. Viola Davies and rest of cast were great - however i think the film would've still stood up on its own without having Liam Neeson being Liam Neeson. The plot was somewhat confusing at times also. I was expecting something more like Oceans Eight. It isn't a terrible movie but it's different to what the trailer sells it to be. Good drama and all characters developed nice and equally. It's really well shot too also.

An Ok Watch
31 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I expected a lot from this film; the trailer looked really good. Having Ben Affleck and Oscar Isaac in, I was optimistic. Unfortunately, its not as good as the trailer makes it look, however it isn't a terrible movie. All actors played their roles well - but I felt there was no real character development, could have had more action, maybe developed the antagonist better. You only really see him twice. The first 2 thirds of the film, i was genuinely liking it; the sort of heist premise, stealing a drug lords money then trying to escape with it was fun (albeit nothing new)... but then felt it didn't really go anywhere and the plot kind of dissipated slightly. It's an okay film, most certainly watchable. But I was left somewhat underwhelmed, it wasn't a total disaster.

Wow!
8 February 2020
Even if you're not a fan of War movies, I would still recommend this to anyone! It is a brilliantly told story that is beautifully shot, wonderfully acted and perfectly scored in terms of music! It is an absolute pleasure of a film. Each scenes keeps you intrigued and on the edge of your scene.

Some war films have the hindrance of getting complacent and boring, but 1917 manages to keep you in and it flows so very well! Some fast past scenes with some nice character driven scenes; you won't be disappointed! It is the right length too, as some war movies have the habit of being too long for my liking. But at just under 1hr 50 odd minutes, it was a perfect length.

Some cameos from some very famous actors will also surprised and please you!

Solid Borg Episode
11 August 2019
Some people obviously don't understand that this episode is a nod to the events of Star Trek: First Contact. So the reviews that state that Borg's have no place in Enterprise are somewhat off, and quite clumsy analysis.

Anyway, Opinions are like noses... everybody has one. And that's why star trek is so great and why we all love it, because it evokes debate and discussion about our beloved franchise.

Personally I think this is a solid Borg episode! And actually up there with one of the strongest in Season 2 of Enterprise. Really exciting, the nods to First contact are nicely done, subtle but apparent. The ending has a lovely eery tone to it, which we've all become accustomed to with the presence of Borg.

Enterprise is a good series ok !
