I'm a big fan of scary movies but it seems like lately there has been a lot of crappy flicks that just don't have it, not The Grudge. I had to wait until this one was on InDemand so I could watch it after my lady went to bed since she doesn't like the scary stuff. I dug the hell out of this flick. It was pretty creepy and had just the kind of stuff I'm looking for in a scary movie. Also, I'm not at all a Sarch Michelle Gellar fan but she was good in this, I have to say. It's worth a look for sure. The one thing that I expected (as I expect with all movies of this genre) was a B.S. ending which The Grudge certainly has but what the heck, right? You can't have everything. Definitely worth a look.

This movie is just fun. It has a good message but its well crafted so as not to make it seem preachy as so many children's movies can be. I was 16 when this movie came out and I like it then and I like it now. How can anyone be opposed to a movie where the little guy proves that he can make it against the best. It's the American dream. While I certainly would not nominate this picture for an Oscar it is fun. This nice thing about this movie is that its pretty relevant for kids today so it has kind of a timeless quality to it. If you have kids or you are a big kid (like me) and feel like having a little light film fare, check it out, I think you'll enjoy it.
