Cinematically Good (Not Best), but Historically Not Good
24 April 2020
Makers should not do this. If you are making a historical film, be honest with historical facts. Don't fictionize it too much. Action scenes are good in this film. They've tried well to use CGI in this film but need to be more good!! (Because we have seen Marvel Films!)

Just Watch, Enjoy and FORGET ; Don't think! Why? Read this...
16 March 2020
Dia is, technically, a good movie (not awesome, just good), but this filmis not made for some philosophical lessons (as it pretends to be that kind of).

Acting, Direction and Background Music are the positive aspects of this movie.

At the middle of this film, we should start feeling that this is the movie which will teach me an important lesson. But in the last 15 minutes ... Oh, God... they just ruined their efforts in the ending part !!!

If we divide the movie in 4 equal parts, first 3 parts are good. The movie will take you on the roller coaster of emotions. You'll start trying to conclude a deep meaning from that. I started too! But at the end, I realise that they just wanted to make a film with lots of twists and turns, that's all. They didn't care if these turns make any sense or not.

So, Just Watch (is you want to enjoy some ups and downs in your emotion), Enjoy and then FORGET.

The Masterpiece which enters into your soul slowly and unknowingly...
6 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I heard a lot about this film but I was waiting for its hindi dubbed version. I saw it yesterday. I was analysing the direction, cinematography, acting, lighting and other aspects as per my little understanding of film. I found this film very beautiful. I discussed some things of this film with some friends and brother. Then I slept with conclusion that - this is JUST a good film.

When I wake up this morning, my mind was thinking about Jaanu. After some time, I saw into myself and found a 'little bit' (very very mild and on micro level) sadness that Jaanu left Ram and went back... Jaanu must be here - with Ram, with Me! I found myself (not exactly and so deeply, but somewhere) at the same place where Ram was in the end of film. Why should I bother about Ram and Jaanu ? That was just a film? There is no Jaanu in real! Yes, I know that! Yeah, that film has been entered in me subconsciously... That's the true MASTERPIECE. That's the power of a Film. Congratulations to all the cast and crew.

Another one masterpiece; must watch for bollywood directors to learn filming

I think Ritesh Batra is master in telling feelings of characters in subtext. Awesome Acting of Nawazuddin and Sanya. Very very pleasant screenplay. Thoroughly enjoyed the film.

A must watch film for bollywood directors to learn film making!

Could be better
3 April 2019
It is one and half hour movie. Last 30 minutes are not much good (or can say, could be better). Acting of both the main characters is very good. The simplicity yet perfection in direction is really appreciable.

But the climax of story is incomplete in the sense of moral which was strongly needed.
