Different circus same clowns
10 September 2023
Nothing new here except for the country. Characters behave erratic and their actions will annoy you. Daryl has obviously learned very little during the many seasons of Walking Dead. We are introduced to new characters and you know the second they appear who will be seen in future episodes and who will not. Lazy script writing and bland cinematography, as well as inspired editing makes the beginning of this new series even less interesting than anticipated. The Walking Dead has become a tiresome monotanous affair, where you do not care if the characters will live or die One can only hope that the upcoming episodes will be more interesting, the season trailer did not look promising.

The crude animation style and the script are the biggest weaknesses of the movie
2 September 2023
First of all I really enjoy TMNT, being the movies, the shows or the comics, except Michael Bays versions. This movie is somewgere inbetween, I did not dislike it but I did not like it either. The crude animation style, was something to get used to, but I endured. The plot is more about coming of age and fit in, and then here is the sideplot of Superfly who hates humans and want to obliterate them all. Rogen asked alot of actors to lend their voices for different characters that appear through the film, none of them really stands out, and if you dis not know before, then you will not notice it now. Jackie Chan as master Splinter stands out, but that is because of his very strong accent and muddled voice. The turtles have charm, and the movie itself has some charm, but in the end you still think about how much better all the other versions available, and wish you were watching them instead of this.

Second season is inferior to the first
6 January 2023
First of all the first season was a fresh take on Alice in Wonderland, but once it all has settled the feeling of freshness become stale. The second season starts of pretty slow compared to first season and the game feels pretty lazy. What made the first season great was Arisus way of strategizing the games. Second season feels more like he just stumbled in and survived due to sheer luck. The final episode is dragging but the last fifteen minutes are very rewarding. That is actually the main problem with the second season it keeps on dragging. And the games are less intriguing than in first season. Two games stand out; solitary game and beauty contest. Both games feel more like games from the first season, the rest of the games are very lazy script writing.

Production value is good the story and main cast is not
1 January 2023
Donnie Yens more or less first non fighting film is quite non sensible and unbelievable. The acting of Ten is quite okay, but his "wife" is really acting bad. The supporting cast is doing a good job. The story is, when you are parent, quite unbelievable. On a road trip Yen and his family are trying to go to Tian lake. The son gets into an argument with Yen and he leaves him alone and the family drives off with Lele. When they return Lele is lost and is nowhere to be found.

If you still think this a believable story, your beliefs will be tested even further as the movie goes along, coming up with crazier/dinner plot developments.

Hallmark romantic movies are more credible than this.

How Come this guy haven't directed before?
8 March 2020
When I came across the title, I thought it would be alot more a horrific. Do not get me wrong, this is a very disturbing film. It had me twisting and turning in my seat, but that was first in the last half hour of the film, the other 90 minutes were a drama with a big heart and laugh mus le. The story was fresh with alot of great and funny lines, and the dialogue never felt staged. The acting also needs to be applauded here. The main cast were people you really felt and rooted for. Only when the movie takes a wild turn to the bizarre and in to the world of wtf?!?! Does it really get truly nasty and obnoxious, but you cannot help watching. This movie comes highly recommended and I Will keep an eye out for the next movie by mr Edwards.

Joaquin kills it!
14 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
From a DC point of view it is not a well conceived movie, but as psychological drama it really is absorbing up untill the end. The ending messes the story up. The slooow build up to becoming Joker is spoiled by the last scene of the movie, where it feels like Todd Philips had a change of heart. Too bad really

not bad
14 October 2019
I had hoped for a bigger budget, but beggars cannot be choosers. It was fun, although the plot has some big holes. The acting is pretty awful from all of the cast. Sound is really bad, a lot of scenes sounds dubbed (badly). Efx and cinematography is quite shitty. So why a 5? Because in all its badness it has some charm and that is rare these days.

Ride Along (2014)

Tiring ride

I Really wanted to like this movie. I usually enjoy Kevin Hart and Ice Cube I have followed since the Friday movies. But even the last Friday movie was more fun than this. The problem is it has all been seen so many times before and better! the characters are more caricatures than characters. The jokes you know long before they actually happen. Ice Cube is being more "badass" than in XXX 2, which only makes him appear more moronic. But my biggest problem with the movie is Kevin Hart. That guy can be sooo hilarious! this movie is the ONLY movie where I did not find him funny at all, and at the end were only annoyed by him. A real shame......

Comic character truly comes to life
13 May 2013
As with all comic adaptations to live action, there has to be made some sacrifices. I was pleasantly surprised to see how little they changed the Marsupilami. He is cute, funny and he is just like I would imagine the little fellow in real life. The story does not resemble anything really from the comics. Some new characters find the marsupilami. I would have loved to see Spirou and fantasio finding him, but I guess that would be too much to ask for. But then again people would bicker about them instead. All in all one of the better adaptations from comic to screen in recent years. It is funny, cute, adventurous and visually exciting.
