I saw this years ago and decided to give it another view. It has aged badly. The projections, especially in episode 1, seem more like uninformed fantasy than thought out science and engineering. Maybe that's because many of the talking heads are best described as futurists. Not knowing allows them to make exciting but impractical predictions for the future. And Elon Musk; boy does he look bad. There's not enough food, water, oxygen or energy on Mars to sustain human life. Yet he pasted off a self contained colony asa realistic goal. Not so much anymore. Maybe get someone on the moon for a short pointless trip.

This episode just dragged along. The point was made in the first 12 minutes. Then they repeated it for another hour. Every episode gets a little slower and less fulfilling. Soon it will be just a still picture with short bits of repeating dialog. They're not really telling a story, they're just filling time. It's too bad. The people putting the show now should go back and look at the first three or four years of The Walking Dead. They had tension. Anxiety, and desperation that drew the viewer in and made every episode memorable. Now all the various Deads are just opportunities for the actors to perform monologs. The shows can completely described in a few sentences because almost nothing happens. "Rick and Michonne get a lucky break and spend and hour talking about leaving the CRM."

It's apparent that much effort was put onto this movie by people who didn't know how to do it. It has everything you need to be bad but not boring. A believable Santa. A boy from the 1950s. Pia Zadora. An original song that she sings and at the end the words are on the screen so you can sing along. Martians with bad green makeup. A polar bear that's obviously a man crawling on his knees. Numerous typos in the credits. And much more. You will laugh all the way through, for days later and every Christmas for the rest of your life. You'll want to get someone else to watch this movie every year. You have to see it to believe it.

I can't really blame the actors for the poor performance. It's the writing. Poor plotting combines with no understanding of basic physics to bring us 12 episodes that must have started as a Saturday morning cartoon in the 1970s. That's the only place a kids in space show ever worked.

15 minutes into the first episode I wondered why it wasn't canceled already. It's supposed to be a show about a group of people carefully selected by a desperate Earth to colonize a distant planet before Earth dies. But after months of supposed difficult testing, the Ark is filled with criminals, frauds, lovers, and warped personalities. Maybe the crisis on Earth ended when they sent these people away.

The Texans are portrayed as simple cartoon characters. Panders to liberals who need to see themselves as sophisticated sources of truth and all others as subnormal. They would be so much better off taking stories from truth instead of phony stories configured to scratch somebody's political need. This story just contributes to the high level of devisiveness we already have. The episode just revels in it's own bigotry. Hoping for better. And now I'm out. 600 characters is way too long for a review of this show. The entire story could be told in a few hundred. How many words can you use to review an episode where none of the characters seem like real people.

Because they are guilty. Show is too self righteous to be pulling this stuff every week. They need to go back to the original formula and find some real life stories and some law inforcement consultants to keep them in the real world.

The characters don't make sense. The plots twist and turn with little rationality. And then they talk about simple things way too long for enjoyment. This episode drags along like all of season 7. It's a zombie show now. Sucking the last hope out of the viewers bit by bit. Remember when the Walking Dead shows were great? They could of had a legacy of greatness but I suppose that they wanted the money more. Now they will be remembered for this.

Authors write a detailed paper about a characters thoughts and feelings so that the characters motivations and actions make sense in a story. They do this as part of the prep for writing the story not as part of the story. This show is just the prep for a show with a little action that doesn't match the thoughts and feelings that we've spent an hour being slowly dragged through. Turns out that the worst part of the zombie apocalypse isn't the zombies, it's the unending narcissistic prattle of the survivors. Is there a season 8 only because I seem to be committed to watching to the end?

Long speeches, random violence, random plot changes. Please let it end soon.

The show had some hope during the first season, but quickly lost it's way. What are they thinking?

Plot and script might seem reasonable to middle schoolers. Law and Order used to be ripped from the headlines. Now it's just ripped. Let's reschedule this show as a poor after school program.

Nuclear radiation, zombies and intense boredom. Not a combination that's easy to put together. They're using it to not only kill off the Walking Dead franchise but the whole genre. Dedicated to watching to the last episodes but dreading the experience. Like a zombie, the franchise is dead but still walking.

Bad writing. Bad acting. Bad directing. Why did they make this show? IMDB requires more content in these reviews than AMC requires in this show. More words.

Movies that are "based on actual events" tend to be actually based on lies and exaggeration. This is just another one. Some of the most inspiring and emotional scenes never happened. I guess there really is no shame.

Show is phony with unrealistic characters and plots that never happened to anybody.

Maybe the real writers came back, maybe the show saw the reviews and audience trends; but whatever it was, they managed to get a plot into this episode. Hope they can keep it up.

Dull really. The writers don't know how to integrate the issues they want to explore into an interesting story. They don't have a story anymore, they have character development.

Turns out the rest of NCIS is a bunch of incompetent idiots and the Gibbs team is a bunch of rule breaking narcissists. Time to break up the whole agency and end the show. Our local PD would have fired these guys 10 times in this episode alone. Shame on everyone involved in the last 2 episodes.

So Gibbs decides to pursue a dog shooting case with only a flimsy relationship to the Navy. Off to bad start. Then it heads way down hill. After this episode they should all be demoted and suspended. Gibbs should be fired and serve some jail time. The NCIS office should be closed. Show over.

Works great when nobody has anything that they are willing to fight for.

Every year there's one episode where the main plot lines don't seem real. Usually it involves the characters living outside the normal constraints of time and space by traveling great distances in very little time. This year every episode is filled with unrealistic, implausible and unexplained circumstances. Its a little worse every week. The purpose seems to be to create some exaggerated melodrama for the middle school audience to watch while they do their homework. Maybe the writers were replaced by those monkeys with typewriters from the proverb. With modern word processing and spell checking they could come up with these episodes pretty quickly.

This was our favorite show, but I always knew that the number of unusual incredibly anxiety producing events in the characters lives would eventually stretch the string of reality and break the show. It happened this season. Now we just see another TV episode full of gratuitous plot holes. It's becoming a parody of the first season.

Glad the season is ending early. Hope it means that they've seen the trouble with the show and will fix it for the 2nd and hopefully last season. Cut out the long and needless monologues and there's not much left of the show. The franchise has been heading down hill since Glenn's fake death but it didn't have to fall this far. Respect what you had.

The performances are not good or believable but that's just because the dialog is poorly conceived and the plot is not engaging or believable. The "big" reveal at the end is not interesting. Enjoy something else.
