08/06/2021 Far from anything closely resembling a scary horror or intense thriller movie. It's just average movie with decent actors, realistic rural settings that fits with the storyline but it couldn't scare a little kid or a wimpy adult. It's just a mediocre one time only watch kind of movie.

For an even better ""True/Real Life" Aboriginal movie watch "Rabbit Proof Fence" a movie told in the first person by three young Aboriginal girls (now old women). In the closing credits the ones still alive tell the viewer of their life back then and today. A really heart wrenching story of how heartless human beings can be when given power by the state to control the lives of the weak (without power or representation. Bon Appetit

02/15/2019 Definitely a well done movie with a reasonable cowboy/outlaw storyline with alot of big name actors/actresses from that period most of whom are long gone from this earth. This movie t6hat I've watched many times through the years was made in 1966. Bon Appetit

02/14/2019 Aussie teacher takes vacation to a nearby town. His pleasure turns into displeasure , into pleasure and back into displeasure all-over-again. This is not your typical Chevy Chase vacation movie. Pretty well done and doesn't seem dated even though it's 48 years old but for me it was just a bunch of nonsense watching drunks do what drunks always do. I don't like drunks so it's a given that I could have lived without seeing this hour and 50 minute drunkfest being passed off as a movie. You decide what to watch, as always? Bon Appetit

02/13/2019 It's hard to believe that a little kid like Abigail Breslin can carry an entire movie, just as she's done in so many movies but again, she does. Everybody else are just supporting actors and actresses. For the most part, she does a really good job in this movie but her finite skills as an actress need work. By the time she turns 30 with a little luck, she should be on top of the Hollywood heap. A fun little movie to watch and not a bad storyline either. I definitely recommend this movie. NOTE: Kinda sad to see cute little smiling actor kids, especially cute little girls grow up and turn into what the many turn into (not-so-cute-big-heads). I guess that's life? Bon Appetit

02/13/2019 This movie's content is pretty profound without actually trying. It has an underlying sadness of truth between fathers and sons. Many times that love/hate never gets resolved. This movie reminds us of the good in life and helps to let go of the bad. It's really a subtle, kind of thoughtless process that evolves as you watch this movie. I'm surprised by the content within and equally surprised by the afterglow of thought as it winds down. For me, this was a pretty good movie, no Hollywood stunts, nothing really contrived, just a plain and simple story that comes across as real. I really liked this no flash/no glitz movie. Bon Appetit

It's no "Sons of Anarchy" which always leaves you wanting more, just a bunch of leather covered crackers riding loud two wheeled bulldozers. I'd rather ride my bigwheel. Your negativity (negative reviews) was predetermined/premeditated long before you ever started watching the movie, so the question might be? "Why did you even bother to watch it? 02/11/2019 Definitely an above average movie, acting? ... about as good as one could hope for. Even though I understand the I-didn't-get-killed in the war survivor part of the movie, the meme, pity me part of Tobey's storyline rings false, a little to alot to much. Those of us that are old, have known many, many guys who had it far worse in Vietnam and WWII. Their lives, their choice of conduct after returning home was NOT "pity meme". Pretty good but far from great. Bon Appetit

02/11/2019 Peuedo Sexual laced cowboy movie intended to showcase Francesca Eastwood - daughter of Francis Fisher and Clint Eastwood. Poorly done, crappy storyline - All so lil' Francesco Rinaldi (spaghetti western?) could be the star - She wasted an additional, unnecessary hour of my movie watching time so she could show her acting range, or turdtrail if you will? (after all it is pure cowboys and soft porn) I especially liked the part where Luke Wilson knows exactly where to look for the gold in granny's bloomers (guess he's psychic huh?). It's called b/s writing with even bigger b/s if the director goes along with ithis turdfest promotional for lil' Franchestco. As the movie winds down, the director apparently feels lil' Fran-chest-co was just trying to get a head? It seems she already had that aspect of the movie in the bag long before the movie even started. SUCK pretend western movie!!! - especially if you like even the slightest bit of reality in your cowboy movies. Bon Appetit

02/11/2019 This is really a GREAT Suspense/Thriller/Killer/Kidnapping movie that I try to watch at least one time every year. It's still great entertainment. With only 119 IMDB reviews that tells me that this great movie has yet to be discovered by many hard core movie watchers like myself. It is that "Hidden Gem" that we're always looking for. This movie will NOT disappoint. Bon Appetit
